Smidgen outdated but really loved it overall and the accessibility to the walk path and the stroll along river was a nice way to get some fresh air after the flight from Alaska

Dirty Restrooms At first, I was hopeful that this would be a nice place to stay, the lobby was pretty with an old vibe and it was one of the closest B&B’s next to the airport. After coming into my room, I quickly found out that this was more of a motel with frosting on it. Overall, the beds were clean, but pretty uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. I could barely sleep. Also, the restroom is pretty dirty, and I found some on toilet paper on the rolls that must’ve had some water damage to it. The showers were not clean and I found a couple of hairs on the bottom overall, I would not recommend this place maybe just for the breakfast but there’s plenty of other good spots around.

A second night of ‘hell’. I had thought I had booked a twin room with French doors and a Thames view. I have a twin room with a view BUT the temperature is in the 40’s (in room) and although the wonderful Erna managed to find us an electric fan, I guess it will be a second sleepless night. Worse, Because of a large group booking, food was unavailable to residents. I know you will not be booking on the hottest day of the year, but be aware there is no lift - I never knew I was disabled until I had to climb up to the ‘garret’ that is this room. Having passed out from heat stroke there is no telephone to summon help.

The man at the reception was very welcoming and nice. The over all experience however was not the best. Me and my boyfriend was not aware what time the checkout was which was our fault. The cleaner knocked on the door as we was leaving and complained that we was 45 minutes late. They barged into the room and accused my boyfriend and I of smoking which we do not do. We told them that we don’t smoke. As we are walking down the hall way the cleaner barged past us without apologising and was very disrespectful. Absolutely disappointed and dissatisfied

The hotel is showing its age, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In the outdoor area, which is beautifully situated right on the Thames, they're trying to create something or other with the cheapest plastic plants. The prices at the bar vary depending on the time of day and the bartender. The entire hotel has carpeted floors, which is a disaster from a hygiene point of view. There's a massive backlog of renovations. Some kind of large black beetles are crawling around in the dining room. There seems to have been water damage in one corner of the dining room on the floor above. Plaster and paint are peeling from the ceiling. At breakfast, we found moldy bread, which was immediately replaced after we pointed it out. Only about half the lights in the room work. The toilet only flushes during the day. There's no separate shower, only a bathtub.
