As a solo female backpacker it felt isolating in the hostel as no one spoke & it was full of people.. never had this problem in all hostels. Seems very clicky. The kitchen is small so can be cramped at prime time in the evenings. Didn’t see the bathrooms get cleaned once. Location is good but also on a sat night if your room is above the bars you can hear the music till late. The doors slam so loud to every room & you can hear the other guests from the 1st floor shouting/talking each night and it’s opened planned corridors.

Super overrated… Stinky room, unprofessional staff and dirty toilet

Avoid this place. The receptionist, Yifan, is completely disrespectful. Because I start work at 6:30am outside the city, I often had to leave without breakfast and, more importantly, without water because the kitchen never opened on time. When I pointed this out, Yifan rolled her eyes and said she would pass the message on, which she clearly never did since the next day (April 22) the kitchen still only opened at 6:25am. This morning, she charged my friend $40 for checking out 30 minutes late. I pointed out that they could show some flexibility for once, and she aggressively replied that we did not respect the rules, saying, “You don’t like the hostel? Fine, we don’t like you either.” She then threatened to cancel our next booking. Ten minutes later, she was speaking to my friend in English, knowing full well that my friend does not understand English, even though the question concerned belongings we shared. I answered “yes,” and she snapped at me, saying, “I’m not talking to you.” I then looked at her colleague and calmly asked for management’s contact details so I could report this absurd interaction. The colleague, clearly uncomfortable, implied that I would be contacted anyway and that I should probably find another hostel. Yifan then called management behind our backs to ask for us to be banned from the hostel. I decided to leave and book another hostel before taking part in this childish behavior. Finally, They also have a very limited bike storage area, which forces guests to leave their bikes locked outside. It only took one day for mine to be stolen. Yifan had told me, word for word, that I could speak with the manager about possible compensation from the hostel. However, the manager showed no concern or empathy whatsoever. The other staff members (two backpackers working there) were, however, very kind and professional, and their behavior was nothing like what I experienced with this particular staff member. My complaints only concern one member of the staff. I also realized that I was not the only person complaining about her completely inappropriate behavior.

This is the worst hostel I have ever encountered in all my travels. Highly NOT recommended! My friend booked a 4-bed dormitory and checked in normally. The hostel clearly states on its website that only guests aged 18–35 are allowed, but they illegally assigned her to a room with an over-age long-term resident. When I questioned this properly, the receptionist was extremely arrogant. She only gave us two options: 1. Stay in the illegal room against our will, or 2. Switch to a 6-bed dormitory with no refund. She even humiliated us verbally. Meanwhile, they were checking other guests into normal 4-bed rooms, but insisted we stay in the room with the older resident. This made us even more hesitant and uncomfortable. When my friend hesitated for a moment, the staff dragged her luggage outside, threatened to kick her out, and charged her for the night anyway. It was 3 a.m., and my friend was all alone, being bullied and pressured. She broke down and had to call the police. Only after the police arrived did they back down and agree to a full refund. They openly violate their own rules, bully and intimidate guests, especially young women. They have no basic service standards or ethics at all. Don’t let this hostel ruin your trip! If you enjoy verbal abuse and being thrown out by security, you are more than welcome to stay here. Update: After the police arrived, the front desk immediately became very polite and agreed to give a full refund. If the front desk was in the right, why were they so afraid of the police?

I booked a 4-bed dormitory room on the platform, which clearly stated a strict age limit: 18–35 years old only. Upon arrival, the hotel deliberately assigned me to a room occupied by an elderly long-term resident who was well over the age limit, completely violating the stated policy. When I complained, the staff treated me unfairly: they forced me to check into that room, or only offered to switch me to a female 6-bed dorm with no refund. They even called this unfair arrangement a "benefit" and told me I should be grateful. When I said I needed time to consider, the staff immediately became aggressive. They dragged my luggage outside the door and threatened to call security to throw me out and force me to leave. At that time, I was still trying to resolve the order on Agoda, and they threatened to physically remove me. I had to call the police for help. Especially the female employee who spoke Chinese was extremely rude and disrespectful. The whole experience was terrible; the staff bullied guests, violated regulations, and provided horrible service. I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel.

The front desk here is very bad, terrible, there is a girl who can speak Chinese, which is particularly hateful and has no service attitude at all The worst part of my stay was the reception service. The staff were unfriendly and not helpful at all. It felt like guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority.

Great location. The staff was very helpful in booking tours and giving recommendations of restaurants in the local area. I stayed in a 4-bedroom room so it was nice. The place was kept very clean. The kitchen and common areas were nice. From the balcony there were very nice views of the ocean.

If you come for access to the person with reduced mobility, forget this hostel because the elevator is only accessible from 7am to 7pm. For the kitchen do not come if you are hungry at night, the kitchen is closed between 10pm and 6am. Otherwise the beds are of good quality although there is no curtain for privacy.
