Hôtel Colombian

Claims to be open until 6am but rarely will let you in after 4am. Security guards are the rudest security I've seen on Oxford street, act like your a problem or annoying just for showing up. I've previously waited over 15minutes to be served at the bar when it's quiet because they don't seem to acknowledge you unless you're obviously gay. Staff never seem happy or friendly, overall just not a great vibe always disappointed with service and feel very unwelcoming and unfriendly. As a femme gay woman I always feel very unwelcome at this venue.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Colombian Hotel is hands down one of the best pubs in Sydney. As a straight tradie, I wasn’t sure what to expect the first time I walked in, but it didn’t take long to realise this place is for everyone. A massive shout out to Ella, who does an incredible job. Her professionalism, friendliness and genuine care for both staff and patrons is obvious the moment you walk through the door. She has helped create an atmosphere that is welcoming, inclusive and full of good energy. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in the venue and it shows in every aspect of the pub. The staff are brilliant, the service is always spot on, the drinks are great, and there’s a real sense of community that makes people want to come back. Whether you’re there for a quiet beer after work, a catch-up with mates, or a big night out, everyone is made to feel welcome. In a world where a lot of pubs can feel the same, the Colombian Hotel stands out because of the people, and Ella is a huge part of that. She’s a credit to the venue and the hospitality industry. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back. 🍻🏳️‍🌈

So we are having a really good time @ 3 am when suddenly for no reason whatsoever,G ... manager kicked us out for been straight, now if anyone does this to any G.. person in other places that could of being harassment and discrimination, and for sure all over the news 🙄 😒, very disappointed with this place.
