The property is registered as a ryokan with Nakano Public Health Center, but for some reason there is no sign to that effect posted on the road-facing side of the entrance. Local residents are worried. Is the property still operating as a ryokan?
Please keep the prices low, improve the quality, and provide a balanced customer service for tourists.
I inquired about check-in procedures a week before my planned move-in date. I received no response. As check-in approached, they suddenly told me I couldn't stay because of a persistent water leak. Since I knew about the problem, shouldn't I have reported it earlier? I even had to contact the reservations team before they could issue me a refund. It was truly awful. Fortunately, I found a better hotel right away. It has a great location, the owner is quick to respond, and the room rate is relatively affordable. For your reference, please visit Hotel STAY ARI Higashishinjuku.
The location is great. The rooms? The rooms are nice. The first floor has two rooms, a toilet, and an entrance. The second floor has a living room, bathroom, and toilet. The third floor only has two rooms. There seemed to be a rooftop, but it was raining so we didn't go to see it (lol). It's close to Koenji Station, and there's a convenience store and a 24-hour supermarket nearby, which is convenient. The freezer was a bit too small for the size of the house, but we managed. The plates and cups were hard to find, so I wish they were labeled. I opened everything! It felt like home, so it was relaxing and easy. We could do laundry, which was great because we didn't have to pack much. It was especially convenient because it was raining. I tried vacuuming, but it didn't suck anything up at all (lol). Disappointing points: We mainly spent time in the living room with the family, but the balance was a bit off—either the table was too high or the chairs were too low. There weren't enough chopsticks, spoons, or forks. There weren't enough toothbrushes either. The slippers weren't great, and the stairs were difficult to go up and down. The best points: It's quiet! Being a detached house, we could really relax. The bath was always available and clean. The location is fantastic! It's close to the station and taxis pass by, making it incredibly convenient when you're starting your day. There was a wine cooler, so we could fill it with lots of drinks. Being able to wear pajamas made it feel liberating and relaxing.
