Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae Capsule Hotel

Very disappointing. I wasn't expecting much to begin with, but this is truly disappointing: When you book several nights, the hotel is inaccessible from 11 am to 3 pm, meaning four hours for cleaning, which I find extremely unacceptable. - It's impossible to leave your luggage (I had a flight that same day, so I was going to collect my bags anyway, but they threatened to charge me 5,000 yen if I left my suitcases from 11 am to 3 pm, which I find unacceptable, especially since I stayed four nights). The lockers are small, and it's impossible to lock your luggage. - The beds are very hard and small; I'm 1.95 meters tall and they're too big. - The cleanliness is average. - It's very hot and humid in the hotel; you sweat. In short, I don't recommend it.

Pros: The floors are separated by gender, and the women's floor features a double lock. The price is affordable at 30,000 won on weekdays. Toothbrushes with toothpaste on them, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cleansing water, and moisturizing toner are provided, so you can stay comfortably even if you arrive empty-handed. There is a microwave and a portable stove, so you can heat up food and instant noodles. There are Family Mart, 7-Eleven, and Lawson nearby, so you can purchase various convenience store items. Trash cans are well-equipped for easy disposal. Each room has a TV, so you can watch Japanese broadcasts. Cons: Only men are allowed to use the bathhouse, so women do not benefit from it. The water pressure in the shower booths is weak, the ventilation fan is heavily clogged with dust, and black mold has grown on the inside door of the shower booth. It was very inconvenient as three out of the six toilets in the women's restroom were blocked off. Due to the nature of capsule hotels, heating and cooling are centrally controlled; personally, I found it too hot, while my family who traveled with me said it was cold at night. Pros: Other: While there are many reviews praising the location, if it is your first time at Shinjuku Station, you are bound to get lost because the station is so large and complex. It takes a very long time to get back to the main road after exiting the station. I wouldn't recommend it for first-timers, but if you know the way well, you should be able to find the shortest route. Since it is near Kabuki-cho, you will frequently see thugs. There are also many hosts who come out at night to promote themselves. They provide one short face towel and one long body towel upon check-in.

Most of the guests are foreign tourists, and the front desk staff aren't Japanese, but communication is smooth.

[Policies not communicated to foreigners & insufficient cleaning] There was a foreigner wearing toilet sandals in the bath, and another foreigner using their smartphone while in the communal bath. I warned them, but they didn't listen, which was incredibly frustrating. The door was always left open, and used towels were scattered around the sink. I felt that if there are many foreigners with different cultures, appropriate measures are absolutely necessary.

I had a toothbrush, but no razor.

It was close to the station and cheap.

The prices are affordable and a bit hard to find, but it's on the map. All the amenities are nearby, including cafes, bars, and restaurants. There's a jacuzzi, sauna, and laundry facilities. The entrance on the third floor is a bit messy, but the sleeping capsules are on the other floors, and they're clean. People from all walks of life come here.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. I booked five nights' stay, and each day I had to get up at 10 am to check out and couldn't check back in until 3 pm. I've never encountered anything so bizarre. Absolutely not worth mentioning.
