Hôtel Cham Cham Taipei

The soundproofing is terrible. I can hear my neighbors chatting at 1:00 AM, and I can even hear them opening and closing their doors... I won't be visiting again.

This was my first stay at the Taipei Fun Inn. The service was friendly, and the room was clean and bright, making it suitable for families. We stayed in a double room (twin beds). The room wasn't large, but it was well-equipped, including a bathtub that the kids loved. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Banqiao Station and is close to Far Eastern Department Store and Eslite Bookstore, making transportation convenient and shopping easy! We didn't order breakfast at the hotel this time, as there are limited breakfast options nearby (within walking distance). I recommend "Mushroom & Lemon," which the kids loved and ate at both places for two days straight! The only minor drawback is that there's only one elevator leading to the underground parking garage, which can be quite long during peak hours (and there's no floor display in the basement, so we couldn't know the waiting time).

The location is convenient; it's right outside the high-speed rail station, and restaurants are just a 2-minute walk from the underground shopping mall. There are also plenty of other restaurants nearby. The restaurant is very clean, highly recommended! I'll definitely recommend this place next time I'm in Banqiao. The only downside is the weak water flow in the shower, making showering take a bit longer.

(Rakuten Travel has also posted the same review.) This is a new sub-brand of Caesars Park Hotel, located right next door. To be honest, when asked about the quality of "service" in the survey, I was unsure how to rate it. Aside from them holding my luggage before check-in, I didn't feel there was anything particularly noteworthy to call "service." The room itself was very nice, spacious and bright, so I would give the room 5 stars. However, overall, having stayed at the neighboring Caesars Park Hotel before, I would choose to pay a little more and stay at the Caesars Park Hotel at this price point. First, the lobby had the atmosphere of a manager's counter in a slightly upscale apartment building, and there wasn't even an outlet to temporarily charge a smartphone. The only commendable shared facility was the clean toilets. Also, I didn't add breakfast. Adding breakfast would have brought the price to about the same as staying at the neighboring Caesars Park Hotel. Furthermore, basic amenities such as an ice machine, which are found in many hotels, were also missing. The flow of my stay was simply check-in, room entry, bedtime, and check-out. At this price, I don't think I'll use it again. It might be worth staying here once if you're looking to try a new hotel, but otherwise, I'd recommend choosing the Caesars Park Hotel next door.

I returned to live here after six years. The soundproofing on the 20th floor is good, and the facilities are well-maintained. The facilities are good, with ample storage space and excellent soundproofing. It has separate wet and dry areas, with a toilet and a bathroom. Unfortunately, it lacks an exhaust fan. I recommend booking through the official website as they have occasional promotional offers!

The room was spacious, and the separate toilet and shower room made it very convenient. The hotel and guest rooms were clean, making for a comfortable stay. There's a FamilyMart next door and a Yayoi-ken restaurant nearby, making shopping and dining very convenient. The location is excellent, and I would definitely like to stay here again.

I've stayed here before. It's likely to become my regular hotel. Check-in and check-out are easy and unmanned. I didn't use the Wi-Fi, so I can't comment on that. The bathroom is easy to use, the bed is comfortable, and it's a relaxing hotel. And the fact that you can get to the night market and famous tourist spots without changing trains is incredibly convenient.

The room service was only about three stars, like a hotel… (Below is the official, formulaic apology followed by a promise of improvement) 1) The official check-in time was 3:00 PM, but many people were still unable to check in at 3:30 PM. 2) The headboard was covered in a tattered and dirty cloth that had accumulated over time, making it disgusting and filthy, and it was right next to the bed 😬 3) Yesterday, they said they wanted to change rooms because we were changing from two single beds to one double bed, but they wanted me to check out at 11:00 AM and check back at 3:00 PM. I was staying consecutively; were they expecting me to be homeless in between? 4) On the first day, we asked if they could combine our beds, but the front desk said they couldn't, as the bed couldn't be combined like that. Then, when we were asked to change rooms, they told us that the original room type was being combined with the double bed. They even told us to pack our bags and change rooms the next day. Didn't they say yesterday that they couldn't? Wow…you guys are contradicting yourselves and it feels like you're just fooling the guests! 5) Half an hour later, the room that was originally arranged to have a full double bed became two single beds bundled together. Then a third staff member came and asked me, "If you don't want to be stranded outside, do you want to use the original room type and I'll help you bundle up the beds?" Good heavens, I speak Chinese! Isn't this a complete misdirection? Terrible 👎 Is this the standard a four-star hotel should have? Please, influencers, stop misleading other people into staying here! (Below is an official apology + promise to fix it, 😘 *kiss*, but it feels like just a perfunctory apology. If they really wanted to solve it, they would have done it right away, instead of leaving guests dumbfounded more than three times in one night.)

For bookings not made through the official website, self-check-in is mandatory, which is extremely inconvenient. Compared to Caesar's, at least you can choose manual check-in, but QuTao Slow Travel doesn't; it forces self-check-in, and the counter staff can't help you even if they want to. After carrying luggage and sweating profusely, having to fiddle with those unresponsive machines completely ruined the experience, adding 30 points to my negative review. They're trying to emulate W Hotel or Moxy, but they've only scratched the surface. They're trying to create a chill and fashionable image, but in essence, it's similar to a 2-star hourly business hotel. Next time I'm in Banqiao, I'll probably stay at the Banqiao Caesar's again and won't consider this place. The room itself was clean and tidy, and I slept well.

The environment is clean, spacious, and not crowded. Convenient transportation: buses, subways, high-speed rail, and taxis are all easily accessible. Parking is available in the Caesars Hotel's underground parking garage. Clean and tidy rooms, child-friendly. High-floor rooms offer excellent views. Most importantly, super discounts on weekdays!

Modern spacious room - very clean too! Highly recommend.
