Hôtel Banks

The "cozy suite" it's not cozy and not suite. Looks like a former service or storage room transformed in a hotel room. Everything looks improvised, toilet in the middle of the room, all is cramped, no place to move for two people.

MIND THE GAP or rather the door jamb. After pushing open the heaviest room door ever, don't trip into the oddly placed cabinet! (expensive) cheapest room, yes, but for half the price exist rooms that are designed properly around the space. Extras are the coffee machine, put where the buttons are above eye level! No ceiling light doesn't help. Take the slowest single elevator ever and... Downstairs is a truly pleasant area past the lobby that feels like an apology for the room, with self service bar. The lovely staff is there and helpful. No regrets doesn't mean I will do it again!

Booked a weekend package including beers and snacks. And paid for it. Unfortunately, the management thought otherwise; a sour drink and some peanuts were sufficient. No matter what I said or showed them the agreement, they just laughed it off. So people, be warned! And their reaction to this will be laughable too, but there will be a sequel!!

Booked a package via Voordeeluitjes.nl It stated that you could have unlimited drinks on the house between 5 and 7 pm. However, it turned out that only cava was included in that package. I immediately raised the alarm, and the manager was being very difficult. With great difficulty, we did manage to get one drink. We were not informed by either the hotel or Voordeeluitjes that this had changed. This is very disappointing.

Nice hotel, with good services and the little complimentary apéro at 5pm was a nice touch (both alcohol or alcohol free options). Location is amazing, close to parking and city center. Be aware that the walls of the rooms are VERY thin, and you will hear your neighbors (talk, fight, snore). And every time a door closes on your floor, you will hear (and feel) it slam because of the powerful spring door closer. We had selected the executive room, as on the picture we saw a cute little fireplace and design chair (see attached picture, taken from their website when we booked) yet neither of it was in the actual room. So that was quite disappointing. Bed was fine. The separation with the bathroom is just a glass door and a thin veil curtain. Enough to block the view, but not very soundproof when you want to use the restroom privately. The view from the terrace is amazing and we could see the little auction market on the square right below. Pretty cool. Staff was nice. We liked that it was pet friendly (with price supplement).

Booked via special offers with an arrangement of snacks and drinks, including beer. Unfortunately, it was unilaterally decided not to offer us this promotion. We did pay for it, but unfortunately the smiling lady stood her ground; a shame, and... the breakfast was well catered for, though.

I absolutely love going to this hotel!!! The welcome is perfect! A super welcome from Mounia and Morane who gave me tips about the city!!! The only problem I had was the change in the aperitif; it was one of the hotel's strong points! It's a shame the change was so drastic, going from everything to nothing... see you soon!

Basic, breakfast is not recommended!
