Amrit sur Oranienstraße est la succursale d'origine d'une petite chaîne indienne berlinoise, ouverte à Kreuzberg depuis 1996. C'est un restaurant grand public gay-friendly, et non un établissement gay. Attendez-vous à des portions généreuses, des produits frais et des formules déjeuner bon marché. L'ambiance est animée et bruyante plutôt que raffinée, et les avis sont très bons (4,7 sur plus de 4 000). Il est ouvert de 11 h 30 à minuit, et jusqu'à 1 h le vendredi et le samedi, ce qui le rend pratique avant une sortie nocturne autour de Kottbusser Tor, où se trouvent les bars gays et queers du quartier. Une autre succursale se trouve sur Winterfeldtstraße, à Schöneberg, près de Nollendorfplatz.

The best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. Fell upon it by accident and so happy we did! I tried the Yellow Daal Tadka and it was so tasty and flavourful. Delicious food and cocktails too!
