Amrit, le premier d'une petite chaîne berlinoise, propose de la cuisine indienne à Kreuzberg depuis 1996. Attendez-vous à de grosses portions, des ingrédients frais et des prix qui ne vous feront pas grincer des dents, surtout au déjeuner. L'endroit bourdonne. Ce n'est pas chic, mais il capture bien l'énergie du quartier. Locaux et touristes s'y pressent pour des plats indiens fiables, que ce soit pour un repas rapide à midi ou un dîner décontracté avant de sortir dans les bars de Kreuzberg. La cuisine ferme généralement vers minuit, alors n'arrivez pas trop tard. Vous trouverez Amrit sur Oranienstraße, en plein cœur des boutiques et de la vie nocturne de Kreuzberg, un quartier qui a toujours été un favori de la communauté LGBTQ+ de Berlin. Si vous êtes du côté de Nollendorfplatz à Schöneberg, un autre lieu gay-friendly, une autre succursale d'Amrit se trouve juste au sud.

I ordered food from you this evening, June 13th, and there were hairs in two out of three dishes! We threw away the third one, just like the other two, because it's simply disgusting. Work on your hygiene! We won't be ordering from you again!

The best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. Fell upon it by accident and so happy we did! I tried the Yellow Daal Tadka and it was so tasty and flavourful. Delicious food and cocktails too! The staff were all very friendly, special call out to Harpreet who was especially lovely. Thank you for an amazing evening, we’ll be back next time we’re in Berlin!
