About this place Amrit (Kreuzberg)

Amrit, the first of a small Berlin chain, has been doing Indian food in Kreuzberg since 1996. Expect big portions, fresh ingredients, and prices that won't make you wince, especially at lunch. The place hums. It's not fancy, but it gets the neighborhood's energy right. Locals and tourists pack in for dependable Indian dishes, whether it's a quick bite at noon or a casual dinner before hitting Kreuzberg's bars. The kitchen usually calls it a night around midnight, so don't show up too late. You'll find Amrit on Oranienstraße, right in the thick of Kreuzberg's shops and nightlife—a district that's always been a favorite with Berlin's LGBTQ+ community. If you're out near Nollendorfplatz in Schöneberg, another gay-friendly spot, there's another Amrit branch just south of it.

I highly recommend this restaurant, as the food was delicious and arrived very quickly. The atmosphere was also great, as people were able to watch the World Cup while we ate. Best regards, Gurshaan

I ordered food from you this evening, June 13th, and there were hairs in two out of three dishes! We threw away the third one, just like the other two, because it's simply disgusting. Work on your hygiene! We won't be ordering from you again!

The best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. Fell upon it by accident and so happy we did! I tried the Yellow Daal Tadka and it was so tasty and flavourful. Delicious food and cocktails too! The staff were all very friendly, special call out to Harpreet who was especially lovely. Thank you for an amazing evening, we’ll be back next time we’re in Berlin!
