Premier Inn Wuppertal City Centre Hotel

Great hotel. A lot of self-service in the restaurant. That takes some getting used to. But if you need anything, such as extra cleaning, it is available. The location in the middle of the city is very nice. Parking under the hotel.

The rooms are fine, clean, and modernly furnished. Unfortunately, there wasn't a proper chair or armchair in my room, so working in the room isn't really possible. In my opinion, breakfast is a disgrace and can't even be called breakfast. The selection is meager compared to other hotels, and it's NOT a breakfast buffet in the true sense, where you can always help yourself as part of the all-inclusive package. When you book breakfast, you receive a voucher, and everything is deducted from it individually. So you pay for every roll, every piece of butter, honey, jam, and coffee separately from the voucher amount. Once the voucher is used up, you have to pay extra for each item. The selection itself is simply disappointing, in my opinion. This wasn't apparent when booking through HRS, and HRS was also unaware of these practices. I will never book with Premier Inn again. My overall rating is based on my breakfast experience.

The Premiere Inn is a modernly furnished hotel, great for a short stay. There's a parking garage, and the restaurant and bars are within easy walking distance. However, the new breakfast concept is awful and more reminiscent of McDonald's. You fill your tray and then scan the items, which you pay for immediately. The selection is minimal: pre-packaged fruit salad and Bircher muesli, one type of bland cheese, two types of sausage, hard-boiled eggs, and then some more muesli. Finally, you carry your tray away and do a bit of rearranging. Just like in a cafeteria. Tomorrow we're going out for breakfast. I hope this concept doesn't catch on.

It is a business hotel and the rooms are clean. The location is in downtown Wuppertal, and it is very convenient as there are many restaurants and shopping malls nearby. It is also not far from Wuppertal Central Station, so transportation is good.
