Mama's Home Florence

The hotel bed was very itchy after sleeping on it.

We had an excellent stay in Florence, largely thanks to the location of Mama’s home which was close to all the tourist attractions, the service was very good, the room was clean and comfortable.

Everything's super old, even the license plate is useless, super small, dirty, not worth it

Absolutely perfect for us. Air conditioning was a good send and a lot more central than I was expecting. Reasonably priced and highly recommend.

I was a traveler from New York and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay that feels like home—safe, welcoming, and close to all the popular landmarks. Francesca was incredibly friendly from the moment I arrived. She went above and beyond to support me with tips on booking trains, restaurant recommendations, and offering the warmest hospitality throughout my entire visit. The location was super central and within walking distance to everything. The room and bathroom were also spacious and spotlessly clean, which made my stay even more comfortable. I truly felt at ease, and I’ll definitely be returning!

The location is excellent - about 20mins walk from the station and very close to the river - but not on the river as it's obscured by another housing terrace. Double glazed room so it's quiet when the window is shut. Air con was not cooling. Host very good and helpful. King bed was good size but some shelving in the bathroom would be advantageous. However, the room does NOT look like any of the pictures. It is dark and needs the curtains closed as it's over-looked by neighbouring properties.

Guesthouse in the center of Florence with a view of the Arno River, just 10 minutes from the train station. This family-run property offers two bedrooms and a bathroom. It's clean and very welcoming, perfect for our needs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This is not a hotel @ all it is an apartment turned into rooms for rent Great location but we would not have stayed here had we of known what it really is No one is ever onsite only for so called check in Room was cool and dark that was nice Not worth the price we paid We would never stay again

Noisy room due to the flimsy door, windows, and shutters...which don't close (the handle is missing), so as soon as dawn breaks, you wake up, not to mention the chaos below, standing right in the middle of an intersection (I recommend replacing the fixtures and door). Problem with the hot water...there's an issue with the boiler, but the owner was quick to come and fix it, but for that type of room (given the price), none of this should happen. The website also says slippers are provided...but they aren't, same goes for the safe (broken). The electric toilet...the pump makes a racket during the night, but I think that's normal. The receptionist was excellent, and so was he. Clean room. Good location for getting to the center. Breakfast at a nearby bar was excellent.
