The room was very small (12m²). The service was unfriendly, unhelpful, and even presumptuous. They are not as dog-friendly as advertised. Disappointing. Breakfast was also rather poor and consisted mainly of pre-packaged products.
A very nice hotel with super friendly staff. We'll definitely come back.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Capannina. The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A special thank you to the reception staff, who were exceptionally kind, professional, and always helpful. One receptionist in particular made me feel very welcome throughout my stay with her friendliness, warmth, and genuine kindness. This hotel left me with very positive memories of Genoa, and I will definitely choose Hotel La Capannina again on my next visit to this beautiful city. Highly recommended.
The hotel looks magnificent from the outside. The first snag is indeed the parking fee of €15/day, and street parking is free if you can miraculously find a spot. The room was clean in terms of hygiene, however, the shutters were broken, the paint was peeling, and the shower was very poorly insulated. The shower had no showerhead, which is convenient when you need to wash completely, but otherwise, it's complicated... very disappointing for a 3-star hotel, but it's well located.
