We received a recommendation for this restaurant in Genova from new friends, one of whom was born and raised here and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very charming and the food is sublime! The flavours are well balanced, the food is perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious! I want to thank Simona and Stefania for their caring, attentive service and for making our experience truly special and unique! I highly recommend this authentic Genoese ristorante! This is the first time I've written a review but this restaurant deserves it. My husband and I ate here on our first evening on our trip through northern Italy and southern France and this first meal turned out to be the best of the whole trip. We've visited most of Italy's regions and eaten endless amounts of frutti di mare and ragù over the years but these two dishes at Le Rune were the absolute best we've had. Large portions and generous amounts of seafood. For the main course we had the rabbit - a Ligurian specialty that we didn't really like but was very fun to try. The service was impeccable - extremely nice and attentive staff despite the restaurant being packed. We were first seated outside in the alley which was very hot - the staff noticed our dissatisfaction and quickly arranged a table for us inside which was very nice. Next time we visit Genoa, Le Rune will be the first place we book a table at. Grazie mille!
