ENCORE REVIEW: THURSDAY MARCH 5 The hallmark of a 5 Star restaurant is consistency in food quality and service. Last evening’s dinner was similar to a Ferrari V12 skyrocketing to the checkered flag. After Jonas, the affable mountain skimobile pilot left us off at the entrance, we were immediately greeted by Lina ~ the hostess with the mostest. Christine and I already craving our steaming cups of complimentary beef broth while sledding hours before, we drained our elixirs like bears downing honey. Graced with a creamy shrimp amuse bouche, our starter courses of cream of cauliflower soup and tagliatelle with Périgord Truffles were palate enticing delights. In fact, my tagliatelle was better than Rome’s famous Osteria da Fortunata! Next at bat was the most outrageous breaded pork cutlet we have ever devoured. The immense serving’s coating was delicately crunchy and the meat was tender and otherworldly flavorful. Alpenblick’s cutlet easily beats Osaka’s New Babe Toyosaki restaurant's tonkatsu. Our dessert was a bonanza of silky home-made ice cream layered over a splash of passion fruit. As our Grand Finale, Konstantin wet our beaks with 100% blue agave Casa Azul Tequila Reposado, that if Pancho Villa was still alive, he would draw both six-shooters and fire into the full moon Alpine sky! Even though Chef João’s food is Michelin Star worthy, Alpenblick in itself is an otherworldly experience. The vibe is tremendously elevated by master sommelier / dining room manager Konstantin ~ literally a white Jimi Hendrix. Flamboyant and devoted in his passionate persona, this extremely intelligent young man possesses one of the most powerful self-expressions we have ever been privy to enjoy. João and Konstantin are similar to Lennon & McCarthy in their composing sweet epicurean melodies for Alpenblick’s guests' enjoyment. João, a creative culinary genius, is accompanied in his immaculately clean kitchen by Nuno and Andre ~ 2 wonderful gentlemen that exude heavenly kindness. Alpenblick will be an integral jewel in our Tschuggen Hotel’s 2027 15 night dine-around, already planning to join them every Monday and Friday for dinner. We heartfeltly recommend that all Switzerland adjacent Summer vacation travelers in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Liechtenstein and Outer Mongolia to visit Alpenblick, and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. we had lunch there and really enjoyed the food, the service, the location. definitely recommend it to the one's who want a well-curated menu served by friendly staff and a view that is really a panorama.

A very nice place to enjoy the Schlager Party during Arosa Gay Ski Week, but it's a bit far from everything... you can only access it by motorbike until 10:00-11:00 PM and then you have to walk.

Always worth a stroll. For fine dining or homemade cream slices. A few more potatoes would have been welcome today.

Very friendly, personal service here. A bit off the beaten track when the slopes aren't groomed in winter, but at least you're guaranteed a spot 😅 The food is delicious at Swiss prices. The booking system for the mountain hut here in Arosa is fantastic. It makes planning much easier for everyone.
