My Mother and Money
About the event
Anacarsis Ramos invites his mother on stage. He left Campeche, in southern Mexico, to study theater and live his homosexuality serenely. She has held about forty jobs with disarming courage. The show is a multiple, tender, and funny account of their relationship – marked by a lack of money, the economy that constrains everything, or the need to adapt and play life, for one and the other. With biting irony, the mother-son duo makes amends and frankly describes poverty, the difficulty of understanding each other, and the joy of sharing.
Shows (in Spanish with subtitles) on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8:30 p.m., and Saturday at 6 p.m. More info and tickets: vidy.
