Hôtel The Rembrandt

Our stay at your hotel was good overall and the location was fabulous. However, there is some room for improvement. The hotel is advertised as 4 star, but fell below this rating especially considering the price we paid. The room was tired and in need of renovation. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the springs dug into my back. The fan in the room was very noisy and I could hear people in other rooms. The breakfast while plentiful could use more fresh fruit and better coffee, and yogurt. Again not a 4 star experience. Staff at reception could have been more welcoming as well. Overall not sure I would stay here again if I came back to London.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. On the positive side, the room was clean, and I appreciated that the hotel honored my request for a quiet room. Despite being located on a busy road, the room was secluded enough that no outside noise came through, which was excellent. The location is undoubtedly one of the hotel's strongest features. It is within walking distance of some of London's best attractions, including the Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods, and Hyde Park. However, the positives were outweighed by several significant issues. The furniture is extremely outdated, the floors are squeaky, and the room had a noticeable odor that reminded me of old carpeting. The biggest problem was a loud drilling-like noise that occurred every 15–20 minutes throughout the night. After speaking with reception, I was informed that the noise was coming from the air conditioning system. While they kindly offered to have maintenance look into it, I was also told that this is essentially how the system functions. As a result, I had one of the worst nights of sleep I've had in a hotel, repeatedly waking up startled by the noise. The uncomfortable pillows only added to the poor sleeping experience. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing, with very limited options and little variety. Overall, while the location is excellent and the room was clean, the outdated facilities, poor sleep quality, unpleasant room odor, and underwhelming breakfast make it difficult for me to recommend this hotel. Given the price point, there are several nearby hotels in the same area that offer far more modern accommodations and better amenities for a very similar cost. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to friends or family.

For a five-night stay in London, I was looking for a hotel costing less than £2,000, and I eventually chose this property. Considering the price—between £300 and £400 per night on a bed-and-breakfast basis—the value for money is rather questionable. The breakfast was good, although there is certainly room for improvement. I chose this hotel mainly because of the photos showcasing the gym and swimming pool. However, upon arrival, I discovered that access to both facilities required an additional fee, something that should have been communicated much more clearly. London is an expensive city in many respects, but in this case I felt I was paying a premium for a property that is showing its age and would benefit from significant refurbishment.

My time here was excellent, would highly recommend! Din was amazing!

Nice hotel but the service in lounge/bar is terrible especially the waitress with the dyed red hair extremely rude.

Very nice and quiet hotel in an excellent location, close to the Museums area and Royal Albert Hall, convenient for buses and the tube, many good restaurants in the area.

A truly wonderful hotel in a great location with really helpful staff.
