Grand Mercure Curitiba Rayon

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. I was a little unlucky because a bus with many other hotel guests arrived at the same time as me, but even with this minor setback, I was well received by the reception staff. Our accommodation service was excellent, one of the best we've ever had. The staff were very polite, the hotel was very clean throughout, and the breakfast was very well served with special attention from the staff. A couple of friends will be traveling to Curitiba in June, and I've already recommended the hotel to them. I'm sure they'll appreciate the recommendation. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to anyone researching; don't even think twice, it's worth it. My wife and I stayed in one room, and my mother-in-law and my 7-year-old daughter stayed in another room. We all had the same opinion about the hotel and its services.

Hotel with an excellent location, close to bakeries, markets, and pharmacies. The breakfast is the highlight of the stay, especially the freshly prepared items. I tried the tapioca and the omelet two mornings in a row. Both are very tasty. The room I stayed in was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a firm pillow (I personally prefer that). The shower had good pressure and temperature. Another family member stayed in a room with two single beds that was a little smaller, but she approved of the accommodation.

I stayed one night at this hotel and, honestly, the experience fell far short of my expectations, especially considering it's one of the most expensive hotels in the city. The receptionists, Victor and Jessica, clearly need retraining in customer service. At 8:30 am I tried calling reception to request an iron, as I only realized that morning that my shirt had wrinkled during the trip from São Paulo to Curitiba. The room phone simply wasn't working. I went down to reception in person, and to begin with, I didn't even receive a "good morning." I explained both the phone problem and the urgency of the situation, as I needed to leave the hotel at 9 am for an important meeting. They said they would bring the iron to the room. At 8:40 am nothing had arrived. I tried calling reception again and the phone still wasn't working. I then returned to reception and asked one of them to personally retrieve the iron from the floor where it was stored, especially since there were two employees in the empty reception area at that moment. I even offered to go to the floor where the irons were and get it myself, but that was also refused. Jessica's response was that they couldn't do that and that she had already done everything she could. Once again they said they would send the iron to the room. At 8:55 am nothing had happened. That's when I found Beatriz in the hallway, who was responsible for the minibar, and asked her for help directly. She promptly tried to contact housekeeping, but since no one answered, she went to resolve the situation herself—exactly what reception had failed to do at any point. Thanks to her initiative, they finally brought the iron. I ended up leaving the hotel at 9:20 am and missed my meeting with my client because of something extremely simple to resolve. It was a terrible start to the day, and I sincerely hope that the hotel management understands that, as a former hotel director, I know very well how to recognize a truly "service-minded" person. Clearly, the two reception staff did not demonstrate this attitude. On the other hand, Beatriz deserves recognition, as she demonstrated genuine care and concern for the customer.

The hotel exceeded expectations. It has a soaking tub and a jacuzzi. It offers great value for money compared to other hotels in Curitiba. The breakfast is sensational! The only negative point (but very minor) was the receptionist's service at check-in; he caused unnecessary discomfort due to a system error on the hotel's Booking.com platform, and he was rude. But everything was resolved quickly.

Excellent location, superb service, and impeccable breakfast. Excellent hotel!

Fomos apenas para o café da manhã e amamos a experiência! Tudo estava maravilhoso, principalmente as tapiocas feitas na hora, deliciosas. Atendimento excelente, com destaque para o Maycon e a Loriane, que são muito queridos e especiais. Com certeza voltaremos!
