This place is actually magical, such an amazing community, great facilities as well!

Friendly staff and crowd. Reasonable rate for a Day Pass (under CA$20). Decent size pool. Great eye candy.

Solid campground, very welcoming and lots of nighttime activities to do; definitely one of the more social campgrounds I’ve been to. Campground is well kept and the seasonal sites are fantastic, very creative and well taken care of. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I booked a 3-night stay alone in one of the premium cabins on a whim without reading any reviews, during the weekday, and had zero expectations of what the experience would be like. What became evident was that the campground isn’t perfect, the people who live, work, and camp there aren’t perfect either, and those factors together are what made my experience at Cedars so undeniably special. The campground isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and neither are the people, which meant I didn’t have to either. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I could be, accept, and make contact with myself in a way I had been missing, and every new interaction, conversation, and experience made me feel so alive in the simplicity of how it was offered. Misty and Michael in the office were so sweet, helpful, and authentic to interact with, but I have to say that Mike, the groundskeeper/workhorse extraordinaire, had the biggest impact on my experience. He was the first person in the park, outside of the office, to make contact with me, which didn’t just set the tone of my experience, he set the standard of what my experience could be. His friendliness, professionalism, and enthusiasm for Cedars created such a positive impact on me that my walks around the park opened a new availability to see each turn around a corner as a new adventure, an acknowledgment from a stranger as an invitation to make a new friend, and an openness to new experiences that created a direct connection to feeling aliveness itself. I wouldn’t have even thought that was possible if it wasn’t for Mike being the human embodiment of what connection, aliveness, and experience could be at Cedars. I don’t want to say someone else will have the same experience I did, but I do believe that if they remove expectation from the experience they hope to have, then the possibility is high. But, only if they’re open to participating in what the experience actually is as it is, because in its simplicity is where the real possibility lives. I hope everyone can find that like I did, and I look forward to return again. Also, the nighttime sky was so clear I was able to see Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and maybe even Mercury for the first time without having a telescope or binoculars.
