Travelodge by Wyndham Nanaimo

Rooms are fairly large and clean although carpets should be replaced with vinyl flooring. Cleaning staff kept putting stuff in our door alcove partially blocking it until I complained.

After a long day and late night, I was woken up in my hotel room by sudden knocking at around 6:30am on a Sunday morning. I was startled and frightened to have someone attempting to access my bedroom, and unable to get back to sleep or rest after that. I expressed my concerns to hotel management. Initially, the manager completely ignored my communication, and when I followed up for support, they were brusque, dismissive and disrespectful. They briefly stated there was absolutely nothing they could do as my "safety" was not at risk merely by a stranger attempting to get access to my room. The hotel made no attempt to make things right or offer any good will gesture.

We loved the Travelodge. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit and coffee 24-7. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Very convenient to down town. Would stay here anytime!!!

The building shows its age, but the room was clean and everything worked just fine.

This is a great hotel for a quick stop in Nanaimo! We dealt with very friendly and helpful staff and our rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was good enough - boiled eggs and muffins and oatmeal.

I just want to give you the thanks for the excellent service at this Hotel at Nanaimo, love this place, very clean washroom and comfortable room, I loved the style by the way. Very good on price, I will say at affordable price. AAAAAA+++++

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my colleagues. Unfortunately, before we arrived, there was a power outage due to strong winds, affecting the hotel and a large part of the area. The electricity was not restored until around 3 AM. My room was clean and ready, and there was an electric kettle with some coffee and tea provided. However, due to the power outage, I couldn’t use them during the night. Breakfast was fairly simple, including boiled eggs, cake, tea, coffee, butter, and cheese. I think having a backup power system (generator) would be very helpful for a hotel in situations like this.

The hotel needs updating. The rooms are nice though. Just the rest is looking a little rough. Great staff very helpful.

Very good location and sourrnding, all staffs are familiar and professional.

It's ok place for a place to stop n go.
