Went to the Churchmouse for a night out to watch Graham Scott Fleming and his Country Crush show. If you’re looking for an amazing night out full of amazing entertainment and good food, check this place out!!! Graham is such an amazing performer and he brings special guests every week. You won’t be disappointed!
The bossy little bartender decided to cut me off after one drink. Just a petty tirade for no reason other than I think he was put off that I was quite enjoying the baseball game and well, thats just a bit too hetero an activity for Church Street. That or, I wasnt flirting with him to his satisfaction. In either case, the pint was $11 which I suspect was over charging me. Its ridiculous that these woke establishments allow their minimum wage staff to destroy the business when they have no real management skills to decide anything rationally. I wont go back.
It used to be a great place long time ago. Unfortunatelly, now, the food is really bad, over cooked, over fried cold, no taste, horrible dressing. The staff was ok. Only ok for a beer.
Great beer selections and an ample menu with choices for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I had the Bang Bang Tuna bowl which was a good choice and surprisingly filling. Central location on Church street with a nice outdoor seating area which does fill up quickly but indoors has plenty of room as well. The staff was very attentive and had great recommendations on the beer selections since I was from out of town and didn't know the brands very well.
It was the British theme which drew me in and I am glad it did. The servers are lovely and so keen to make you feel welcome. The beers are excellent and promptly delivered to your table. The menu has great choices and the food delicious, portions are good and generous. I hope to be back one day.
Just stopped for a pint.. Very clean and safe feeling Mackenzie was awesome glad to see everyone following safety procedures.. Stay safe.. See you soon
I really enjoyed my first visit to the Churchmouse. The food was quite tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive. I liked the atmosphere of this pub in Toronto's gay village.
Located in the heart of Church Street in Toronto, this British-style pub has a ton of food and drink options whether you're wanting to grab a bite to eat or wanting a good place to get a drink with friends. Upon entering, seat yourself and you'll eventually get menus. Tons of options are on here and you'll definitely find something to eat whether it's a quick bite like nachos or poutine or a salad burger or sandwich. The three of us ordered poutine, fried pickles, and nachos off of the first page of the menu, which were more like shareable appetizers. The food overall was good but nothing home to write home about. The service was pretty slow overall in terms of getting our server's attention. Overall, not a bad place. I wouldn't mind coming back to eat here but also would rather find another place to try in Toronto!
Met friends for a drink. Nice atmosphere, pleasent staff, reasonably priced drinks. Didn't have food but from what I saw and smelled it seemed good. Good and lively but not rammed.
On the edge of the gay village, we primerily went here as our hotel offered discount and we were pleasantly suprised as often these places that offer hotel discounts are not up to much. However, we found a good vibe to the place, good service and quality, reasonably priced food.
