Hilton Garden Inn Ames

While the rooms are very nice. And staff extremely accommodating....(this was in no way her fault) there should have been a notice when booking that the pool and hot tub are down for maintenance. We booked this hotel solely for the pool and hot tub advertised. By the time you check in your card has already been charged and changing hotels would be a bigger nuisance. When such an amenity is down it should 100% be noted at booking and paying. The front desk girl was extremely accommodating and moved us atleast to a room that had a bath tub. But the hotel fails when they dont plainly advertise at booking that something is unavailable. Had the price reflected the lack of amenities it probably wouldnt be so bad.

When I checked in on the first day and entered my room, my bed had clearly been slept in. I asked for another room and was able to get one. Next day I went to go get Continental breakfast, did not see the sign at the end of the buffet that said they actually charge you for the Continental and was given a 15 dollar check for what is normally free at every hotel ever. The next day the room service barged into my room without knocking. The shower also was clogged so bad with old hair that it almost couldnt drain anymore. (I have very short hair) Over all every day had a problem that I've never experienced with other hotels and this certainly wasn't what I would expect out of a 3 star hilton hotel.

What truly made this experience remarkable was how the entire staff worked together seamlessly to create an environment where our team could focus entirely on our meeting objectives. Their professionalism and genuine desire to ensure our success was evident in every interaction. Came for a family function and was seriously impressed by the hotel and the staff. The staff was amazing (especially Danielle), the rooms were clean and well appointed, and the beds were super comfortable. It was an awesome experience!

Absolutely exceptional. Great room, clean and service that was so kind and helpful. We had a long trip with kids and they were amazing. We will definitely be coming back.
