Jim Toy Community Center

The Jim Toy Community Center is Ann Arbor's long-running LGBTQ+ community organisation, named after Jim Toy, a Michigan gay-rights pioneer who came out publicly in 1970. It gave up its physical office on Braun Court in 2021 and now operates as a volunteer-run nonprofit without a drop-in space. It runs community programming, support groups and resource referrals, and organises the annual Ann Arbor Pride festival each summer. The address in our listing is a general downtown location, not a walk-in centre. For events, Pride dates or help finding local services, contact the organisation through its website first.
