Hôtel Brexton, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

My daughter and I stayed at the Brexton 1/2/2026. When I booked online, the site said I would not be charged until check in. The day before departure, I received a notice of a charge on my card for $50 more than the quoted amount. I immediately called the hotel and was told “they showed nothing on their end; and I should call customer service”. I called customer service which was totally automated and because I didn’t have a “case number” I had no way of continuing the call and was hung up on. Arriving at the hotel the next day, it was unclear where to park so we decided to go in and ask about street parking. We could not get the front door open and about jerked our shoulders out of joint, before noticing a buzzer in the left hand wall. A small sign on the door would have been nice. Once inside, the desk clerk said she had no idea about parking on the street in front of the hotel. What? She did inform us of 2 additional spaces for the hotel which were entered from around the block. Then I asked again about the extra $50 I had been charged and was told that was to cover “incidentals”. Funny since there was nowhere to spend money in this hotel. No mini bar, no restaurant, no snacks for purchase. She said I would be refunded the $50 in 7-10 business days. Really? Proceeding to the room, we noticed immediately how cold it was. We fiddled with the in-room thermostat and heating unit but couldn’t get warm air for more than a few seconds. After sitting in our puffies and covering up with a spare sheet I found in the closet, we went back downstairs to ask if there was some trick to getting the heat to stay on. “No” but she offered us two extra blankets and a very mini space heater. We were afraid to leave the space heater on during the night for fear of catching fire. I thought maybe a cup of coffee from the in-room Kuerig would help but there was only one pod in the room for the both of us. How about a hot shower? Well my daughter told me the water was only lukewarm but I said that was ok because I don’t like hot showers. Believe me the water was really only lukewarm. Also there was no floor mat so I had to throw the one hand towel down on the floor to keep from slipping on the tile. We went downstairs the next morning for the free continental breakfast. The breakfast bar had 3 croissants, 3 pieces of sweet bread and a few mini muffins and a Kuerig. They did have pods. We were not sure how many guests had not yet eaten, so we didn’t take much. I booked this hotel because it was a Wyndham hotel and I thought that meant something. Apparently not. I will say that the location is great if you are going to the symphony. And the hotel has so much potential. It is super cute and the rooms are big enough and the bed was comfy. But no heat in January and no hot water are deal breakers for me. The cold air poured in the bathroom window.

Stayed here a few years ago and loved it (possibly before it was a Wyndham property?) My second stay was not as pleasant. My room smelled of mold and urine and there were several worn features on furniture, including stains all over the couch. I wasn’t provided any hand soap and where I was previously provided K-cups and fixing for coffee my last stay, the drawers where they were last time were empty.

Unbelievable that no one is here to let us in. It is a hotel belonging to a large hospitality group! Our airline changed our flight two hours before departure. We then called this hotel, where we had reservations for 4 nights, re: our delayed arrival. Firstly, we had to make 4 different calls to reach anyone: they told us not to worry, that they had taken note of our post-midnight arrival time. Now we are left stranded in the cold waiting and ringing the doorbell and calling until we give up and have to look for another hotel. We have traveled extensively and had never encountered this scenario. Nothing short of disappointing.

My husband and I were in a pinch, the furnace in our apartment totally stopped functioning and our landlord was taking their sweet time getting it repaired. We booked with Hotel Brexton and they did not disappoint on service, hospitality, and room comfort. First—the staff was extremely helpful (shout out to Terrell!). They were quick with communicating, knowledgeable about what could be done in our situation, and even when our landlord was being crazy about us being at the hotel, they found a way to their business but also be fair with us. The rooms are very keenly decorated! I like the style between art deco and minimalist; very attractive. The ONLY detail that bothered me was that part of the shower-head didn't have a designated place, so it just hung down into the shower. The bed was GRRREAAAT! Internet and television were more than easy. You can't ask for more re: location either! Very central, affordable for what they offer, and a cute time overall.

This HoTel told me 4 days ago that I old use tap o pay to book a room. When I returned, they said they do not accept payment that way. To make matters worse they sent me a confirmation email with the invoice of the days I WAS going to stay, as if I stayed there already. WTH! I informed them that the email should have came after the room was purchased, NOT before.

I came a little late, so the room was very nice only thing I can say about it. The room was clean no complaints

Keurig coffee pot with no Keurig cups. Only coffee available was was for coffee pot up front. Handicap accessible in basement with elevator (glad I had my friend here to ask check-in how to get in). Free breakfast that is advertised was meager grab and go with a small/medium box of pastries, cereal bars, and some small juices. Otherwise staff was great except housekeeping piling trash and laundry bags in front of my door until they had time to retrieve them. Even if I'm wasn't a person in a wheelchair that has to be against the fire code for evacuation.
