Hôtel Capitol Hill

Had a 1 night stay only but everything from the room to the service to the location was great. Breakfast offered was one of the better ones I’ve had yet!

The rooms are clean and nice, but the windows don't open, and my neighbor froze me. :) The food is so-so, but overall I still give it a 5.

This hotel is haunted. I did not have a good experience because in the middle of the night a demonic spirit that looked like a middle-aged, brunette, white woman with red lipstick tried to hack me to death with a hammer. She was very angry, and I had to fight her off of me. Other than that, the staff was really nice, but I would not stay here again, even being super conveniently located.

The best option we could have chosen. It's one block from the Capitol South subway station and one block from the Capitol Building—superbly located. The entire National Mall is within walking distance if you enjoy walking. The hotel is comfortable, clean, with large, well-equipped rooms and breakfast included. All the hotel staff are friendly and provided excellent service. There's always coffee, tea, and water available at reception. Highly recommended.

Location! Location! Location! This hotel is convenient to so many of the sites in DC. We loved the doorman and the 24/7 coffee and infused water. Unfortunately, the hotel is tired and could definitely use a refresh. One of the rooms rented by a member of my party had a distinctive foul odor. They were able to change the room but they were placed next door and the odor was still pervasive. My room was a suite which was plenty spacious . There is no on-site bar or restaurant here although they do provide vouchers for breakfast at a little spot down the street.

Don't look for luxury here… maybe a bed bug but not fresh clean linens. I could post pics but I won’t. A bug on my pillow. Black exoskeletons or fetcal matter on the sheets. A filthy mattress under the mattress pad which was torn. I was moved to another room which had no evidence of bedbugs but both beds still had torn mattress pads. Great location. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but only after a very though inspection.

Stayed one night en route to a family wedding and wish we had longer to stay. Outstanding service and everyone was so kind. Charming small hotel in a great location! Comfortable, clean, and safe with a delightful staff.

Conveniently located to the Capitol Hill and Capitol South subway but be aware you are on a hill and for some it could mean some strenuous walking. The hotel is ok, a bit jaded in parts but very clean with daily room service. The biggest disappointment is the breakfast buffet. The food choices are limited, you could say it’s “a take it or leave it” choice. The staff are indifferent to your needs, very unhelpful and asking for anything when the food and drink items are low or have run dry is like asking for a million dollars. They really aren’t interested in you as a person or customer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
