À propos de ce lieu Harriet Hancock LGBT Center
The Harriet Hancock LGBT Center at 1108 Woodrow Street in Shandon is Columbia's LGBTQ+ community center. It opened in 1993 and is named after local activist Harriet Hancock. It is one of the older LGBTQ+ centers in the Southeast.
Programs include the Youth OUTLOUD youth group, an adult Queer Collective, monthly First Sunday Suppers and a Pop-Up Closet that gives out free clothing. It also hosts support groups and passes on referrals for the wider Midlands area. It's not a drop-in venue, so check the center's current schedule before you visit.
