Hôtel The Joseph, a Marriott Autograph Collection

Stayed here for three nights (Thursday-Sunday) and we had a wonderful experience! We got an executive king suite which was nice and spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly and valet parking was awesome and always quick. It is definitely a pricier place to stay, but it was a really nice getaway. There are also plenty of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. We tried Goodfellas pizza and Marcellas. Both were delicious.

Le Meridien Columbus is a luxury hotel in the Short North area in Columbus. It is elegant with its decor and creates a serene atmosphere. Art exists all around the lobby, second floor, hallways and rooms. We had a suite to that was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is updated with bowl sinks and a large bowl tub hat is also the shower. Only downside is it faced the highway and that noise could bother some people. No problem for us. The room included a vinyl record player with some albums. We used them and it was very nice experience. Fatima at the front desk was very welcoming and made us feel special with her demeanor and interest in us. Location is outstanding to enjoy the nightlife the area has to offer. This area has a diversity in regards to types of restaurants and bars. Parking in most cities is a challenge and no different here. Overall a great experience and we will return.

Excellent property. Great staff. A little noisy in the short north

We absolutely loved Le Meridien! From out arrival to departure, everything was perfect. We were so impressed with how friendly and accommodating the staff was. Our room was spacious and well appointed with beautiful views. We booked a package that included breakfast each morning at Soul or in-room. We chose in-room dining each day because our room was so comfortable, we didn't feel the need to rush to get ready. We booked a couples massage at Liliana & it was one of the best massages we've ever had. We enjoyed the relaxation Suite before and after our massage & I would not book without this again. The suite had a couch, television, bottled water, bathtub, shower and a heated relaxation chaise in the shower room. After our massage, we returned to the relaxation suite to enjoy all the amenities while sharing a bottle of champagne. We had cocktails and dinner at The Guild House. The service was great & the food and drinks were prepared to our liking. The location of the hotel was perfect as we were within walking distance to many boutiques, restaurants as well as the North Market. The weather was a little cloudy on one day of our visit so the valet staff provided us with a complementary umbrella which came in handy during our walk. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Le Meridien will definitely be our go to hotel when in Columbus.

Honestly, the hotel used to be great but needs some serious upgrades to be five stars again. Let’s start with the rooms - we were on the 7th floor overlooking the freeway - noise was tolerable because the flow of traffic sounds like white noise once you get used to it. The central AC worked great and no noise from that so we could keep the room at our desired temp. Now my biggest complaint was the use of a polyester mattress protector. I know most hotels use these but I slept so hot every night I tossed and turned all night long. Being part of the Marriott group you would think they have a system for keeping the protector buried under a breathable topper but for whatever reason our bed was not the case. We travel so much for work and stay all over. We ended up checking out early (losing our last night) and staying at a Courtyard Marriott by OSU - slept great and got on our plane home the next morning recharged and rested. There is some clunkiness around the staff in the lobby as well. On our first day I was coming out of the elevator into the dark hallway and some staff were midway into rolling a giant mat - presenting a 1ft roll on the ground. No one warned me and I tripped over it in the dark. The guy even saw me coming out of the elevator and didn’t say anything. I felt bad for him because he apologized profusely but it felt really obvious that guest safety is number one when doing maintenance in a dark hallway. I will not be staying there again when the Courtyard was a more comfortable and convenient hotel. And without the $50 a night for valet.

This hotel in Columbus is one of the top choices in the area! The staff’s friendly and welcoming attitude made us feel right at home. Our room was fantastic, and we had a great time watching the Le Peiti Chef dinner show. It truly was a memorable stay!

I stayed at the Le Méridien Columbus for a quick overnight business trip in Columbus, Ohio and had a great experience. The hotel was easy to access from the airport, and the front desk staff were professional and welcoming. After a long day of travel, I enjoyed excellent service at the lobby bar with colleagues. My standard king room was comfortable, well-designed, and very inviting. The standout feature for me was the shower, perfect after a long travel day. The hotel is an easy walk to the convention center, and arena. Lots a great restaurants near the hotel. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I look forward to coming back.

The hotel staff charged me with $2,900 worth of "recovery" damages due to a dog that we had that was barking in the room when we were out enjoying the CBJ hockey game and a leaking toilet from a busted line. I booked the room with points so I went from only paying a $50 pet fee to that charge. Even if there was a problem, this is excessive. There was not even a receipt or detailed explanation when they charged me. They just charged my credit card and did not send or say anything of the charges. I do not think that it is right thing to do to charge a customer for credits for stays to 5-7 other hotel guests one customers for a barking dog and a leaking/broken toilet that occurred through normal use. If you stay here, be careful and ask if there are any charges and receipts upon checkout.

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph and booked a suite. While the property was beautiful, my experience was unacceptable. I was told I couldn’t record despite being a paying guest with a suite, then later told I needed a media pass something never communicated beforehand. The inconsistency and rude staff behavior made the stay very disappointing. I have video documentation of how I was treated and am prepared to share it if needed. I expected a luxury experience, especially as a suite guest, and this fell short. I would like this matter reviewed and addressed promptly.

Everyone at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. What we didn't enjoy was getting a $550 charge for smoking in our room when we've never smoked in our lives. Apparently if the smoke / vape sensor trips -- maybe you had the audacity to iron your hair like my wife did -- and the badge history shows that you're in the room at the time, hotel management claims that their hands are tied and suggests pursuing a chargeback via your bank. So as nice as the hotel was, I'd rather have stayed in a hostel with zero amenities than deal with this headache. edit: Raised to 2 stars. As it turns out, the badge reports suggest we weren't in our room. 🤔

Hotel is conveniently located and everyone was friendly but I expected better from such a highly rated hotel. Several visibly dirty areas and a dirty washcloth.

We come to Columbus every year for the Arnold and were incredibly excited to stay at The Joseph. The staff has been friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself is beautiful. The disappointing part falls on the hotel’s decision to contract a 5pm checkout for a very large group on the Thursday leading into the Arnold Sports Festival - most rooms remain unavailable even hours past the 3pm check in time and there are close to 30 of us -all with reservations that were generally made months in advance - waiting in the lobby for our rooms. It’s not the end of the world, but it is below the standard I would expect for a luxury hotel. Again, I have to iterate that the staff themselves have been wonderful and this is a difficult situation they have been put in, it’s just a disappointing start to a stay we were excited for.
