Top of the line hotel in a small town

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. That’s the part we enjoyed. We did not enjoy the ICE COLD FRIGID POOL!!! We paid $120 extra to stay at this hotel because of the indoor pool and it was too cold to even set foot in. They have this insane system where the teeny tiny hot tub is supposed to heat the entire pool. Which all that does is caused an extremely cold pool and a somewhat lukewarm hot tub. Our son was so excited to swim in this pool, but couldn’t get in it because it was just too cold. The staff did try to make up for it by giving us waterpark passes for the waterpark in town however, that doesn’t take away from the fact that we paid specifically for this hotel‘s pool and could not use it and there was nothing that could be done to warm it up, which I find is absolutely ridiculous. If you have an indoor pool, you should have a way to heat it that isn’t a hot tub. The free breakfast we got was barely edible, it tasted awful! We would never stay at this location again just because of the pool situation. We did really appreciate the waterpark passes as an attempt to make up for the frigid pool, that was very nice. If you want to use your hotels pool while you’re staying, I would highly recommend staying away from this hotel. If a seven year-old boy will not jump into the pool, you know it is cold.

We’ve stayed at this hotel for years. The staff is friendly and the food at Barton’s is great. The bathrooms are small. But the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean.

Random little bugs all over the nightstand. This place is gross. Hard to see because it is so small in the image but they were red and all over the bottom on the mattress Edit: i dont know how to respond to replies but i know this isnt the first issue you’ve had with bugs here. I am an airline crewmember who was told from other crewmembers theyve had the same problem.

Great place and amenities for work but if I am being honest... Needs to be remodeled and updated. All the work out machines are broken and dated. Heated pool uses Hot tub water so the pool never gets warm and you are stuck with a cold Hot tub until it heats back up. The people working there make the place great, but the hotel needs help!!

Liz was cleaning the outside of the property when we arrived. She got us booked into a great room immediately with lots of suggestions for dinner (as the restaurant had closed earlier that Sunday). Clean, quiet room and an overall great experience. Vera checked us out the next morning. Good location and highly recommended due mostly to the courtesy of the staff.

We got about 10 rooms. People were friendly. Easy check in and out. Sadly during breakfast their machines weren't working so they had no coffee, juice to drink at breakfast but aside from all that it was a good stay. Clean. Comfortable
