The Betsy — South Beach

My stay at The Betsy was absolutely charming from start to finish. From the piano music welcoming guests in the lobby to the incredible staff who genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, every detail felt thoughtful and personal. A special thank you to Joanny, Josh, Robert, and George, who went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Their hospitality truly set this hotel apart. The food was phenomenal as well. In fact, I had what may have been the best burger I've ever eaten. Between the warm atmosphere, outstanding service, and excellent dining, The Betsy delivered an experience that was both elegant and unforgettable. I can't wait to return.

The most beautiful and elegant hotel on Ocean Drive. It is right across from the beach, where hotel guests are provided with comfortable sun beds and umbrellas. Lovely atmosphere, stylish interiors, wonderful staff and a very pleasant guests. The food was also excellent. I liked the restaurant so much that I ended up eating there every day during my three-night stay and didn’t feel like going anywhere else. There is no loud music and no pushy promoters outside, instead, there is live classical or jazz music during the day and in the evening, which makes the whole place feel elegant and special. I would absolutely stay here again.

I stayed at the Betsy Hotel in May while attending ABFF. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful! I was greeted with champagne upon my arrival and my room was ready early, so I could check in before noon. The hotel has new wings and historic wings - and to make things easier to navigate, George at the front desk gave me step by step instructions to get to my room in the new wing. Lourdes also gave me a wonderful tip on how to access the lobby from the 1st floor stairs - and it was so helpful! I loved my room - it was decorated beautifully (as was the lobby) and I truly felt immersed in the Miami vibe. The hotel was steps away from the beach, and it was really easy to access the beach hut where we could rent chairs, umbrellas, and towels for free (as part of our stay). I would definitely come back again!

Everything was just amazing . Every detail, the service , design , art gallery , library , books in rooms, and jazz music and piano in the lobby ..I can go on and on..the owners dogs are so so beautiful. The stay felt like I knew everyone and stayed there before . Staff is so friendly . This will be definitely a hotel I will be coming back every year. I think I can write a book how glad I am that we picked this hotel. And fyi we had a baby with us and I think if he could talk he would agree with every word I said. The kitchen staff made everything possible to make little one happy and made delicious mash potato.

We LOVE the Betsy!!! Our first stay here after happening on it last year for lunch. Staff is wonderful! Friendly, incredibly accommodating! A beautiful property, thoughtfully curated, decorated! Fabulous artwork, music, a feast for the senses!!! The food was outstanding!. We especially enjoyed Sheila, Villidia, Gustavo, Robert and George! It’s located right next to the beach and Espanola Way so everything’s accessible on foot. Our Latino elder room keeper was super nice and attentive to details. Very comfy bed. But we were not welcomed by receptionist. The receptionist staff was running through a script like a robot but not genuinely welcoming us. Maybe because we are not White? Not sure… At checkout, our luggage was not kept in their system (no messages were sent to us as communicated). Our luggage was fine but again, this is not a 5-star experience at all. I’ve been to many 5 star resorts and hotels in the world and this type of attitude is no where near 3-star experiences, not mentioning 5-star. The pool was too shallow. Don’t expect much about the pool. The resort fees were not transparently listed when we booked on Agoda and we didn’t know it until the end of the stay. Luckily they waived us that fees after receiving our feedback.
