Race Point Beach

Race Point Beach sits on the wild Atlantic side of the Cape Cod National Seashore, a broad, dune-backed stretch that is quieter and more remote than Herring Cove. It draws a gay following for isolated sunbathing away from the crowds — walk far enough along the sand and clothing-optional pockets appear, though nudity is technically not permitted on Seashore land and rangers do patrol. Big surf, seals and spectacular sunsets make it worth the trip out on Race Point Road.
