Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District by IHG

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and will definitely be back. Special shout outs to Chef Thomas and server Jade in the restaurant for their kindness and extra care and attention to my son and I. The front desk and valet personnel were also extremely kind and accommodating!

I want so bad to be able to give this hotel a good review but I just cannot. The issues that I have I did not report because A. there were many and I wanted to focus on enjoying my vacation and B. I didn't want them in my room trying to fix it. Currently in room 408 and can't wait to check out today. There is an unsightly patch in the ceiling, the toilet runs SOOOO loud at random times throughout the day and has on more than one occasion waken me from my sleep, the bathroom is so very tiny and uncomfortable. The room was clean for the most part but could definitely use some touch ups in the bathroom with grout and some plumbing fixtures. I suppose when look for cheap lodging, that's exactly what you get. The staff has been wonderful, the lobby is nice, there were free COLD water bottles just outside the main entrance which I found to be a very nice touch considering the June heat. All in all, I cannot wait to leave and I will not be back to this location.

I was a little nervous about recent reviews but so far I’m loving my stay. Staff was friendly, check in quick, champagne waiting on me as I arrived. My room is perfect, nice and cool. It’s an older building so don’t expect it to be perfect. I love the charm of it. So perhaps others were just unlucky and hopefully management has addressed many of the concerns. I don’t have any complaints at the moment.

After having 8.2 million people read my reviews, I am excited to share my experience once again. My wife took me to Savannah, GA, as part of my birthday celebration. We stayed at the Indigo Hotel located in the heart of the historic district, near Savannah’s famed River Walk. From the time that we arrived, until the time we left, this hotel and staff made us feel like we were at our home away from home. We were greeted with a smile, and our smile became even wider, when we walked inside of our fourth floor suite, which was nestled in just the right location so that we could see the beautiful Savannah River and the historic bridge, which was lit up in a soothing red glow at night. The suite included a spacious walk-in shower, with quality toiletries, two televisions, a sofa, refrigerator, sink, and a very comfortable king sized bed, just to name a few of the amenities. My wife and I were blessed to have met Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District's Director of Sales Mrs. Kai Williams during our stay, and I can tell you that the IHG Corporation needs to do all they can to keep her on staff. She was very knowledgeable about everything Savannah! She recommended many local businesses that we should patronize, which was very helpful to us, as we navigated our way around the city. You could just tell that she knew what she was doing, especially how she interacted with staff and other customers. To sum it up, we’ve never been treated so kindly, by anyone, like we were treated by Mrs. Williams, since we’ve been coming to Savannah the past 30 years. I recommend that you try this place out the next time you’re in Savannah!

I had a concern after my stay and reached out to the hotel for assistance. I want to specifically recognize Assistant General Manager Okello Odongo for his professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine concern. He took the time to review the information available, followed up with me directly, and provided the clarity he was able to provide while respecting hotel policies and guest privacy. Throughout the process, he was courteous, understanding, and made me feel like my concerns were being taken seriously. Good customer service can be hard to find, and I truly appreciate the effort he made to help me. Thank you, Okello, for your assistance and professionalism.

Everything about it was it was just an average hotel but it unfortunately did not come with breakfast

When I booked this hotel, the reviews were mixed but many were positive so I took a chance. I booked a King sized room. When we arrived, they didn’t have one available. The room with two queen beds was cramped. At first, they stuck us in the worst possible location by the elevators on the first floor where it was incredibly noisy. I asked to be moved the next morning, and it took nearly all day to do so. Now, I’m dealing with extra charges that went through on my credit card (that don’t align with my final receipt). The hotel claims they don’t see them. I was also bounced around several times before speaking to a rep who still could not help me. The service is truly sub par. If you get a great deal, the location is great. Otherwise, I recommending passing on this hotel during your Savannah stay.

UPDATE: I’ve since had issues with my billing, and given the abhorrent customer service and incredible lack of response, I’ve lowered this to a single star. The staff was quick to address issues and very polite, but too many problems cropped up during my stay to make it a pleasant experience - it's solely their efforts that keep this from being more scathing. - On check-in, I had to have maintenance come up to my room to swap out the shower head because it was covered in mold and the toilet was not clean. - Our meeting room's AC was absolutely not up to the task, resulting in a stifling heat. - We had to have the provided sodas replaced because they were over a year past their expiration date - The lunch spread each day felt like something out of a school cafeteria. - Staff bussing the breakfast and lunch buffet were incredibly loud and intrusive during presentations.

My stay here was quite disappointing. The rooms were small, and mine was dirty. Upon arrival, I found globs of hair in the drain of the shower (I’ve attached a picture for reference). It appeared to be very filthy. The front desk staff was unable to assist me and refused to offer to clean the shower until the next morning.

Hotel Indigo is a very beautiful and conveniently located hotel but what really sets it apart is the staff! Donna is very informed on what is going on in the area and assists you in activities you want to participate in. Trevor was fun and friendly and makes an awesome mocktail! The front desk ladies, Sherry and Tisha, were friendly and greeted everyone with smiles. I also have to send a SPECIAL THANK YOU TO TIM at the front desk who went that special mile to help me in a stressful situation. I also want to say that housekeeping and the restaurant were great.

I had a great experience. The staff were courteous and helpful. The in-house restaurant was nice and it is conveniently located near the river. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Savannah.
