A little price but worth the cost

Great waterfront hotel. Nicely appointed rooms. Bathroom with wonderful shower, tiled and large.

Extremely disappointing. Service was close to rude from checking in to valet and rooftop bar. Absolutely shocking for what you are paying. Hotel was small and cramped and dark. Don’t waste your time here. Find somewhere else.

I would like to begin by clarifying that this review is not a reflection of our server, Lakesha, who was incredibly helpful and ultimately helped salvage our celebration. My family and I hosted a surprise 30th birthday dinner at Coastal 15 on Saturday, April 18th, for a party of 12. After 2–3 weeks of planning and communication with the Pivot Hotel Group, I was very disappointed to find that none of the agreed upon requests were in place on the day of our reservation. For context, I had requested the following in advance: 1. A high chair for my infant niece 2. A bucket of ice for two bottles of champagne 3. Two small tables for gifts and the birthday cake 4. Confirmation that the TV in the room would be functional so we could display a family slideshow When my family arrived early to decorate the private dining room, none of these items were prepared as previously confirmed. We had to request everything again, and we were initially unable to connect to the TV. Additionally, the room itself was not ready upon arrival; staff were still setting the table, and there was leftover equipment, including a guitar, from a previous event. The musician had to remove his equipment because he was unaware another event was scheduled in the space. We had been told that connecting to the TV would be simple via casting from a phone. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My family and I spent the first 30 minutes to an hour of our reservation troubleshooting the connection and attempting to locate an HDMI cord. Our server informed us that if this request had been properly noted, the cord would have been ready in the room. I have email documentation confirming that this request was made and acknowledged in advance. If it were not for Lakesha and a member of the hotel maintenance team, who went out of their way to locate a cord, we would not have been able to display the slideshow that had been planned weeks in advance. Lakesha even offered to purchase an HDMI cord with her own money to ensure the event was successful. What an uncomfortable and unprofessional position to put our server, and your employee, Lakesha in, especially since she had not been informed of our prior requests. Regarding the food, several orders were prepared incorrectly. Our party ordered steaks at various temperatures (well done, medium, and medium rare), yet many were served at the wrong doneness. Despite managing multiple tables, Lakesha did her best to accommodate us. However, no manager checked in during the event to ensure everything was running smoothly. After spending approximately $1,000 on what was intended to be a private, well coordinated upscale birthday experience, this was extremely disappointing and very underwhelming. If you are considering booking Coastal 15 for a larger event, such as a rehearsal dinner or celebration, I strongly recommend confirming all details with staff on the day of your event rather than relying solely on prior email communication. Unfortunately, in my experience, weeks of coordination with management/leadership did not translate into execution. Personally, I would not host another private event at Coastal 15 and would suggest considering other venues that demonstrate stronger organization and attention to detail.

I am sad to say that while a beautiful property in a great location, service from management is terrible. The bartenders were wonderful, but check-in was odd (associate was MIA for 15 minutes, and then made a mess as she charged the wrong credit card in my Bonvoy profile. I have been trying to rectify this for over a month, but have been unable to contact a manager: the associates say they cannot do it and managers never return calls. It is a shame as it is a really nice property, but it suffers from very poor management.

I had a really lovely stay at the Bohemian Hotel in Savannah, this is one of those places where the overall experience still leaves you smiling. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is spot on for Savannah, and the rooms are both comfortable and well thought out. I ended up in a corner room with a city view, which turned out to be a really fun perspective of the area. The only thing I’ll note for future guests is that I had reserved a river-view corner room through Bonvoy, and there seemed to be a disconnect at check-in between my confirmation and what was assigned. It didn’t take away from my stay, but it’s something worth double-checking on arrival if that view matters to you. The same goes for the smaller service touches—things like valet personal touches and phone guest services. When those details are seamless, it really elevates the entire stay from great to exceptional. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time here and would absolutely stay again.

Overpriced for what it is worth. The location is good but the front desk service was not up to par. They forgot to mention the $30 destination fee, it would have been good to know and they really did not care. They were more invested in their personal phones and nails than trying to help. There are many other hotels in the vicinity . We will not go back to that particular hotel.
