Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown

Very nice hotel, the facilities are beautiful but horrible communication skills. Booked to stay here but unfortunately was unable to due to lack of communication from the properties.

The location is amazing. Close to the Visitor Center, the Art Museum, and the TECO LINE station. You can walk everywhere. The room had an incredible view. Everything was clean and organized. The service at the front desk and the bar/restaurant was very pleasant.

The hotel was just ok. It sort of smelled like old carpet. I did not realize it was pet friendly and I did not like that part. That was my bad, I never would've chosen to stay there had I known that. The location was great, but I doubt we stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful the lobby is very clean they have water for you as well infused and regular 😀 i was there for an event so I didnt explore more but the location was easy to find and there is parking and plenty food near by

Pros: - Delicious free breakfast in the morning. Hot part of breakfast varies by the day but was always a meat, potatoes, eggs, and carb (pancakes, waffle, and French toast). Also included yogurt bar, cereal, oatmeal station, bagels/ pastries, hard boiled eggs and coffee station. - Ice cold water station which is important in Florida in July. - Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions and transportation. - Received additional towels quickly when requested. - Lots of luggage carts available at valet parking. - Valet parking was quick with qr code to request the car early. -Located nicely by city hall, Glazer museum, Tampa Art museum, Curtis Hickson Waterfront park, Tampa River Walk, and had a Starbucks downstairs. - Located a few blocks from streetcar stop #11. - Elevator is key card access only. - Hallways were clean. - Bed was very comfortable. Cons: -We found a pill on the floor left by housekeeping. Very dangerous while traveling with kids. - Dusty on the top of the wardrobe, mirror, and tv. -Bathrooms have NO ventilation. Left bathroom hot, wet , and musty after only one shower. Hanging towels won't even dry due the humidity level. - Air conditioning worked but heavily competed with the humidity. - No microwave in room only downstairs next to breakfast area. - Bar nextdoor very loud at night.
