Comfort Inn Birmingham Homewood

Everything was nice and clean and updated. Very pleasant staff. The pool was closed down due to the weather but it looked nice. The breakfast was the only thing to me that wasn't up to par. The eggs were rubbery, the apple juice was watered down really bad, the sausage seemed watery, and they had no biscuits or gravy to go with the eggs or sausage.

Room was too noisy, Bathroom, AC, and Refrigerator. Bed slept horrible.

I had a trip planned to come and visit my son. 2 days before trip, I had a death in the immediate family. The hotel refused to give a refund, regardless of this unexpected event. Very disappointed to say the least, even a refund of 1 of the 3 days I would have been there would have been appreciated.

They’re a good hotel. I am particular with my diet so Kai in the front helped me figure out what food I can and I can’t have.

This place was clean and quiet. Breakfast was hot and plenty of it. Would stay here again.

Ray and Kai are a great team. Other staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast area is clean. Recently renovated space, clean rooms and bathrooms.

Says there is RV/truck parking but good luck...absolutely do not show up with a semi or anything larger than the 35' truck I was in. No office center or printer. Breakfast was normal stuff, location was good. Highly recommend Paramont restaurant. Jamaican jerk wings were fabulous abd burger was good! Also the SoHo restaurant!

The rooms are very clean.

This place canceled our reservations the SAME day we came in to check in after driving 3 and half hours, coming in from TN. The reservation was booked in JAN 2026, 3 months prior to our check in date. I spoke to Ray a day head of reservation to adjust the people in our room as it showed 1 person when it was supposed to be 2. We get to the hotel & was told our reservation was canceled due to an expired card. I selected the pay later at the location online when first booking it and could have provided a new card as the current one had been hacked into & I got a new card. They SOLD our room and we were left scrambling for a new hotel search as we came to Alabama for a concert that was starting in 3 hours. Ray was NOT helpful at all. This has NEVER happened to us with being Choice customers over 10 years. They sold our room for a higher price because our room was reserved months prior at a lower price. We weren't allowed a chance to provide a new card when we got there. I spoke to RAY the day before with NO mentioning of an expired card. Do NOT chance a a pay later option, as it will NOT be honored upon your arrival. They charged the day before and we were NOT there because our reservation was for the NEXT day. What SENSE does that make to charge a day ahead of booked date when we selected to pay later AT the hotel upon our arrival. NEVER AGAIN!! RAY needs to be FIRED as he is in the wrong business of doing customer service.
