Hôtel Chamberlain West Hollywood

Front desk staff is unhelpful and incompetent. Some of the laziest people I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Also I left my charger there after one night and came back and they claimed it wasn’t there which is so weird. I think they just didn’t want to have to go look for it. So lazy!

The hotel is in a safe and quiet location, with convenient parking. The room was spacious but unfortunately dirty. The carpet was heavily soiled, and the air conditioning unit above the bed emitted a lot of grime – off-putting. Furthermore, the hotel walls are so thin that you can hear literally everything. From footsteps in the hallway to various activities in the next room – sexual acts, arguments, conversations, crying children, and so on.

The room itself was nice, but the hallways and other shared spaces were quite rundown, and the elevator was just plain sketchy. The Chromecast built-in to the TV wasn't working. They also never sent me a receipt for my stay, and trying to get one is way more trouble than it has to be.

The location is nice. The room was nice but the room service is bad. The breakfast is overpriced and bland. The hotel has an odd smell what I can only describe as possibly being from recently treated damp room or mould, the smell resembles antiseptic, mould or chemical notes. Additionally, upon checking I was informed the pool was not in use This should have been communicated before checking in and costs reduced. I wouldn’t say this hotel is quite 4 stars

The best hotel to stay at when in LA. Quiet residential area but very close to restaurants, groceries ( Trader Joe’s and Erewhon) and bars. Shopping is nearby too. Service is great from front of house employees, housekeeping and valet. The definitely deserve their Michelin.

I had a really disappointing experience at The Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood on Sunday, 3/15/26, through ResortPass. Before booking, I actually called the hotel directly to understand the difference between a day pass and a cabana since the website didn’t provide much detail. The woman I spoke with (who later checked me in) told me to book through ResortPass, so I reserved a cabana expecting a comfortable space to relax, lay out, and enjoy the sun. When I arrived, I quickly realized the cabana only had seating—no daybed or space to lay out at all. On a day that was in the high 80s, that completely defeated the purpose of my visit. I immediately went back downstairs to address it, and was told there was nothing they could do because I booked through ResortPass. I was also told I’d have to pay extra for a day pass if I wanted access to a daybed, which made no sense since I had already paid more for the cabana. There was no effort to resolve the issue, no flexibility, and not even an apology. I felt stuck and ended up just going back upstairs and making the best of it because it was my only day off. Overall, the experience was very misleading and far below what I would expect from a hotel in the hospitality industry. I booked in good faith based on the information the hotel provided, and unfortunately it did not match the actual experience.

Some of the rooms feel like a basement, if you’re looking for west coast sun avoid this place.

Location is good, but service is awful. Despite requested, housekeeping was only done once during our stay (5 days). And obviously, "nobody can do anything at all". No goodwill gesture, of course. Regarding this… a tip for housekeeping is still requested! No shame… Also, we were unable to take breakfast in the hotel because nobody was serving in the restaurant (at 9am) and the staff literally ignored us. This is not an hotel I would recommend, though it has good location.
