HOTEL DU PONT

Beautiful hotel with a lot of history, which I appreciate so much. But its age comes with some cons: - the elevators are unreliable— there were often times where I waited 5-10 minutes for a car (I was on the eighth floor) and most of the time, only one elevator seemed to work. - my toilet broke; the chain and stopper in the tank got disconnected - I saw huge cockroaches roaming the floors (understandable since it’s an old building, but unjustified in a five star establishment) - sometimes, no hot water Other pain points: this hotel holds a lot of events, conferences, and work trips— so I can imagine how frustrating it must be for the front desk when they need to deal with a lot of customers (especially given the issues above), but I found them to be a bit aloof/maybe too overworked to want to be helpful… for example, my colleague was looking for a package and they just walked away after he asked for it 🤷‍♀️😭which was… disappointing. - the shower stall leaked so much water. My floors were soaked after every shower I wouldn’t choose to pay out of my own pocket to stay here again, but I wouldn’t say no if my company sent me on another work trip here!

The hotel DuPont and their valet service crashed my truck and are refusing to help rectify the situation. At first tried to hide until the cops got involved, now refusing to take calls and just hang up on you when you ask to speak to someone. Very deceitful tactics

We stayed here on May 4th 2026 - and NO HOT WATER in shower or sink. The same problem has been reported multiple times months earlier by other users - obviously they haven’t cared to fix it yet. STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE COLD WATER IN SHOWER. We vacated the next day morning and checked into near by Marriott. Shame on you Du Pont. I told my admin to remove this hotel from our company’s preferred list for Executive stays. Over priced outdated colonial junk.

During my recent stay at Hotel DuPont, Bruce, the bellman, delivered truly exceptional service that set the tone for a seamless and stress-free experience. At check-in, I found myself in a bit of a bind, juggling multiple awkward, cumbersome bags while searching for my corporate card, only to realize I needed to leave the hotel and return before completing the process. It could have easily become a frustrating start to my stay, but Bruce immediately stepped in with professionalism and care. He promptly assisted me with my belongings, securely stowing my items so I could step away without worry. His attentiveness and efficiency transformed what could have been a chaotic situation into one of complete ease and reassurance. Instead of feeling burdened and overwhelmed, I felt supported and taken care of. Bruce’s calm demeanor, proactive approach, and genuine willingness to help added a level of comfort and relief that made a lasting impression. It’s service like this that elevates a stay from good to exceptional. Bruce is a true asset to Hotel DuPont, and I’m grateful for the outstanding hospitality he provided.

We had a wonderful experience hosting our sangeet at the Hotel DuPont. The ballroom is absolutely beautiful, with its elegant architecture, timeless design, and warm ambiance that created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The space feels both grand and intimate, and it made the evening feel truly special for us and our guests. Shellie was exceptional throughout the entire process. She was organized, responsive, and easy to communicate with from the beginning, which made planning feel smooth and stress-free. I called her with multiple crises and she went above and beyond to address each and every wish and desire. For example, Dhruv and I desperately wanted to set up a stage for our performances and she pulled through for us! She helped us trouble shoot our seating arrangements and even smaller details like adding an extra seat to a table at the very last minute. Shellie’s professionalism, attention to detail, and calm presence made a significant impact on our overall experience. She played a key role in making our sangeet beautifully executed and truly memorable, and we would highly recommend her to anyone planning an event at the Hotel DuPont.
