Benidorm's gay bars are packed into a few old-town lanes: Calle Santa Faz, Calle Alicante (Carrer d'Alacant), Calle San Vicente, Calle Quatre Cantons and Plaça de la Constitució. About 25 were trading in 2026, according to realbenidorm's list and the other current gay guides we checked. The crowd is mostly British and Spanish and older than in Madrid or Sitges. There is no big club; the late bars are small dance bars that run to 04:00 or later.
How a night usually goes
Terraces and early bars open from about 16:00 to 19:00. The streets fill from around 23:00, and the late bars and darkroom bars take over after midnight. From November to February many places shorten their hours or close for a few weeks, so check a bar's Facebook or Instagram page before you go.

- Sensations, Calle Alicante 41: camp pop bar with music videos, about 16:00–02:00.
- Betty Boo's, Calle Alicante 13 (the old King's Bar): lounge bar from 17:00.
- DD's, Santa Faz 23: cocktails on the street's biggest terrace.
- Casper's Eatery & Bar: English-run café-bar, food all day and a weekly cabaret.
- Refuel, Calle Sant Pere 3: café-bar with a terrace over Poniente beach.
- Gspot, San Vicente 3: small cocktail bar run by its owner, about 19:00–02:00.
- Jimmy's, Calle Alicante 11: Spanish-run local.
- Barcode Secret 2, Calle Alicante 8: mixed gay bar, closed Tuesday.
- Secret Encounter, Sant Roc 11: pub for blokes and bears, about 17:00–01:30.
- Pepita Dinamita, Calle Alicante 24: newer neon cocktail bar that calls itself a gay LGBT bar, from 19:00.
- R'Peet, Santa Faz 10: tiny bar run by its two owners.
- Spirit, Quatre Cantons 9 (ex-Men's Bar): dance bar to 03:30, 04:30 at weekends.
- Mercury, Calle Alicante 10: late disco pub.
- Escape, Calle Alicante 18: loud late bar, about 23:00–04:00, closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
- New People, Santa Faz 29: drag, bingo and a small dance floor, Wednesday to Sunday from about 23:30.
- Poco Loco, San Vicente 10: drag show bar with live singers.
- Brief Encounter (Breve Encuentro), Santa Faz 21: late bar, reopened under new owners in 2024.
- Almirante, Calle de la Palma 13: Spanish dance pub with drag, Thursday to Sunday.
- KUMA, Santa Faz 5: the biggest bear and leather bar, with a darkroom; closed Tuesday.
- Bears Bar, Santa Faz 12: men-only bear bar with a basement darkroom.
- Dark Room, Calle Alicante 12 (the old DYMK unit): darkroom, glory hole and cabins.
- Most bars have no cover charge. Drinks are cheap by northern European standards.
- Darkroom bars are men only. Bring your own condoms.
- Pickpockets work the crowded lanes in summer, so carry only what you need.

Drag
Kafee Klee on Calle del Pal has run a drag cabaret since 1994. West End Showbar in Rincón de Loix is a free comedy drag cabaret for a mixed holiday crowd, about 3 km from the old town.
Check before you go
Papagayo (Santa Faz 31) is a Dutch-run daytime terrace that calls itself straight-friendly, and Google showed it as temporarily closed in November 2026.
Closed or renamed
DYMK Dancebar has closed (its unit is now Dark Room), Lovers Pub on Quatre Cantons is listed as closed, King's Bar is now Betty Boo's and the Men's Bar is now Spirit. Names like El Tano or Bourbon's that appear in some AI-written guides aren't Benidorm gay bars.
