The honest summary: Córdoba is Argentina's second city, about 1.5 million people in the departamento Capital (Censo 2022), and a university town first. Its gay scene is small for a city that size: one main gay club, a few gay and men-only bars, two saunas, an adult cinema and a handful of roving parties. What it does very well is Pride. The Marcha del Orgullo fills the centre every November, and the 18th march is on Saturday 21 November 2026. Come for the colonial centre, the Sierras and that march, and plan your nights around Friday and Saturday.
Legal in one line: Argentina brought in equal marriage in 2010 (Ley 26.618), one of the world's most liberal gender identity laws in 2012 (Ley 26.743) and a 1% public-sector job quota for travesti and trans people in 2021 (Ley 27.636). The Milei government closed the anti-discrimination agency INADI in 2024, and its 2025 decree restricting gender treatment for minors was suspended by a federal appeals court in July 2026.
What the scene actually looks like
We went through the two local directories, cordobagay.com (updated March 2026) and cordobagay.ar, plus lgcba, Córdoba press and the venues' own Instagram accounts, and checked every listing against Google Maps in November 2026. The picture they give is consistent. There are fewer venues than ten years ago, and more of the scene now runs as parties that move between rented clubs. The places below are the ones we could confirm as open.
There is no gay street. Güemes, the old bohemian barrio around the Paseo de las Artes, is where a lot of people start the night. Nueva Córdoba, the student district south of the centre, has the clubs on Dámaso Larrañaga. The Centro and the streets around La Cañada hold the bars, the saunas and the cinema. All three are walkable from each other.
Clubs and bars
- Zen Disco, Julio A. Roca 730. The city's main gay club and resto-bar, with a young crowd. Google lists Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 05:00; it fills after 2am. Pop parties and a ZEN PRIDE party on march night run here. Instagram @zendiscoresto.
- X-Bar, Marcelo T. de Alvear 360. A long-running gay bar and club by La Cañada, open every day from 18:00 to 04:00 per Google, busiest after 1am at weekends.
- Europa Disco, Dámaso Larrañaga 80. Listed as gay-friendly by the local directories, but recent line-ups are general cumbia and party nights. Treat it as a mixed club. One directory marked it temporarily closed in 2026, so check @europadisco.ok.
- Solutto, Av. Hipólito Yrigoyen 171. A mainstream all-day resto-bar that the local LGBTQ+ directories list as gay-friendly. Good for a drink before the clubs.
- Cucinattta, Rivera Indarte 707. A trans-run restobar opened by ATTTA Córdoba on 30 June 2025 as a job-inclusion project. Daytime and early evening, daily from 12:00 per Google.
- Tom Bar, Santiago del Estero 90. Opened in July 2025 for gay and trans men, with a cruising area and leather, latex, sportswear and puppy nights (InfoNegocios, cordobagay.com). No phones inside. Thursday and Sunday 21:00–03:00, Friday and Saturday 23:00–05:00.
- Housing Bar, 9 de Julio 1067. A men-only nudist and cruising bar, nude or underwear only, with a darkroom, cinema room, lockers and patio. The Google name says "LGBTQ+ bar"; it isn't a general bar.
- H.Edon, Jujuy 510. Dry sauna, steam room, cabins, darkroom and a small bar. Daily from 15:00 (Google), with after-hours sessions on Friday and Saturday nights according to cordobagay.com. Cash only.
- Club 466, Tucumán 466 (Google calls it "Club 666"). The older of the two saunas, with wet and dry sauna, labyrinth, cabins and an outdoor patio. Daily 15:00–21:00 per Google. Cash only.
- TAO Sex, Rivadavia 219. The city's last adult cinema: straight films downstairs, gay films and private booths upstairs from about 20:00. Daily 15:00 to about 04:00, cash only.
- Limbo Pop: a mixed pop party, Thursdays at Club Paraguay (Marcelo T. de Alvear 651, Güemes) per cordobagay.com, with a Pride edition after the march (Studio Theater, Rosario de Santa Fe 272, on 21 November 2026). @limbo.pop.
- United Party: a long-running gay party that marked 15 years on 10 October 2026 at 990 Arte Club.
- Área 51: a monthly party for lesbian and bi women and trans men, which started in 2025.
- Beep Pub (Sucre 175), the old after-hours drag bar: closed. GayCities marks it closed, its Instagram has gone quiet, and it is missing from the 2026 directory. The Google pin under that name now belongs to another pub.
- Dadá Mini in Güemes, a queer-friendly drag and ballroom bar: closed for good.
- Club X, a nudist bar near Nuevocentro: temporarily closed. 30 Hot Cinema: closed.
- Sauna Apolo: we found no trace of it in Córdoba, Argentina. Every Sauna Apolo online is in Spain or the Dominican Republic.
- Zoom is a cruising bar in Buenos Aires, not Córdoba. Utopía, El Caracol, BAO and Osadía appear in old lists, but we found no evidence that any of them is a gay venue today.
- Queer Night Club / Espacio Queer and the Monday party Maldito Lunes (both Larrañaga 67) are still in some directories. We couldn't confirm either for 2026.
- Free HIV and syphilis tests, no appointment (Municipalidad de Córdoba, July 2026): Dirección de Medicina Preventiva, Santa Rosa 360; DEM Centro, Sarmiento 480; DEM Norte, Jujuy 3095; DEM Oeste, Deán Funes and Muñiz; plus municipal health centres.
- Hospital Rawson, Bajada Pucará 2025, is the base of the provincial HIV programme and offers testing and PrEP, weekday mornings.
- ATTTA Córdoba, Rivera Indarte 707, runs the Centro de Contención Trans. Its state funding has been cut since 2024, so contact it on Instagram first.
- Nights start late. Dinner at 21:30, a previa (pre-drinks) at someone's flat, clubs from 1–2am until 5am. Midweek is quiet.
- Getting around: the centre, Güemes and Nueva Córdoba are walkable. Taxis, Uber and Cabify are cheap; use them late at night rather than walking through empty streets.
- Getting there: Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella airport (COR) is about 10 km north of the centre, 25–35 minutes by taxi. Long-distance buses use the Terminal de Ómnibus.
- Cash: both saunas and the cinema are cash only. Card payments are widely accepted elsewhere.
- Safety: same-sex couples are a normal sight in the centre and Güemes. The usual risks are phone snatching and petty theft, not homophobic violence.
- Boliche: a nightclub. Previa: pre-drinks before going out.
- De ambiente: gay, as in "un bar de ambiente".
- Fernet con coca: the city's drink. Locals sometimes call it "Fernando".
- Culiado: the famous Cordobés word. Affectionate between friends, rude to a stranger, so leave it to the locals.
- Cuarteto: Córdoba's own dance music. You'll hear it everywhere.

Men-only bars, saunas and the cinema
This is the part of the scene that has grown. All of it is in the Centro, and all of it is indoors and legal.
Local guides still list Parque Sarmiento as an outdoor cruising area. We don't publish places or times. Sex in public can be prosecuted under article 129 of the Penal Code, and thefts in the park at night have been reported, so the indoor venues above are the safer choice.
Parties
A lot of Córdoba's queer nightlife happens at parties rather than fixed venues. Check Instagram for dates, as they move around.

Pride and events
Argentine Prides happen in spring, not June. Córdoba's first Marcha del Orgullo was on 14 November 2009, and it has been held on a Saturday in November ever since. The 17th march was on 15 November 2025. The organisers, OrgulloCba, have announced the 18th for Saturday 21 November 2026 and call it the second-largest in the country. The usual format is a fair and stage from midday at Parque Las Heras, a march in the afternoon along Bulevar Las Heras and Avenida General Paz, and a festival at the Paseo del Buen Pastor. It is free. Expect closed streets and rerouted buses that afternoon. Smaller marches take place in towns around the province, such as Unquillo, and the city's Amor es Amor LGBTIQA+ film festival runs in the summer.

FAQ
Does Córdoba have a gay district?
No. Güemes is the closest thing to a queer hub, Nueva Córdoba has the clubs and the Centro has the bars and saunas. They are all within walking distance of each other.

When is Córdoba Pride?
In November. The 18th Marcha del Orgullo is on Saturday 21 November 2026, gathering at Parque Las Heras and ending at the Paseo del Buen Pastor.
How many gay saunas are there?
Two: H.Edon (Jujuy 510) and Club 466 (Tucumán 466). Both are in the Centro, open from mid-afternoon and cash only.

Is Córdoba safe for gay travellers?
Yes, by regional standards. Argentina's laws are among the most protective in the world, and couples are visible in the centre. Watch your phone at night and use taxis or apps late.
Which night should I go out?
Friday or Saturday, and not before 1am. X-Bar and Tom Bar are the options on a Thursday or Sunday.
