Workshop „What am I actually passing on?
About the event
All people have experiences with sexuality in the course of their lives. This creates different attitudes, beliefs, and feelings about the topic. These also influence how we deal with sexuality in relation to children. The workshop aims to encourage parents and close caregivers to look at their own biography and reflect. What experiences have shaped me? What feelings do I associate with sexuality? What attitudes do I hold today? And what of that do I want to pass on to children and what do I prefer not to? Together, we will finally consider how an implementation could look in concrete terms.
Workshop leader Leo (no pronouns) has been working in sexual and political education for seven years, especially with children and adolescents. Leo constantly reflects that sexual educators spend much less time with children than parents and close caregivers. That's why Leo wants to start here and is very much looking forward to the workshop. Leo particularly likes educational work because it offers the chance to adopt new perspectives and learn together. It is important to Leo to act with respect for boundaries, to handle feelings sensitively, and to create space for questions and uncertainties.
