What reviewers say

About this place Alvear Palace

The Alvear Palace is a grand luxury hotel on Avenida Alvear in Recoleta, open since the early 1930s. It has classic French-style rooms, butler service and a famous afternoon tea. It is a mainstream hotel, gay-friendly rather than a gay venue, and Buenos Aires as a whole is relaxed about same-sex couples. It is one of the most expensive addresses in the city. Recoleta Cemetery and the museums are a short walk away. The gay bars in Palermo and San Telmo are a taxi ride from here.

Today we were served by Camila, who was very kind, friendly, and attentive. I highly recommend this lovely, harmonious place—truly a luxury.

It's a real pleasure to be there. Obviously, with excellent food and attentive service, no matter the details, I'll definitely be back. It's definitely one of my top choices.
