Best Western Sol Ipanema Hotel

We were so happy to have stayed at the Hoye Sol Ipanema! From the first day we arrived, everything was perfect thanks to Alex, the receptionist who gave us a wonderful welcome! He was very attentive and explained the hotel's hours and how it all worked, including the pool, breakfast, etc.! Alex was a total gem, always cheerful and helpful. The room we had was super nice with an amazing view on the 14th floor. Everything worked perfectly! The water was nice and hot in the shower, the room was super comfortable, and the bed was fantastic! The sheets and towels were super comfortable and soft. Both Lourdes and Alexander cleaned our room and went out of their way to ensure we had a luxurious stay. The location deserves a ten out of ten, close to the bars and restaurants, and right across the street with umbrella, chair, and beach towel service. The breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were very professional. We will definitely be back! The price was excellent. Thank you so much!

WARNING: only book this hotel on the off season. Pool area is tiny, breakfast seats are limited, and there’s only 2 elevators to service all guests across 15 floors AND the all the hotel workers, so you will wait several minutes before getting on ( even after waiting sometimes it still opens on your floor just to be completely full). Hotel is nice-ish enough, location is pretty good and the staff were mostly friendly and attentive.

My experience was great. I'm vegan, and for the first few days, all I could eat was fruit. I let reception know, and the next day they brought me almond milk. For the last two days, Ribeiro, a lovely person, gave me pancakes with seeds and avocado—I was so happy! My advice is to always let them know about your dietary needs; they're incredibly accommodating. The rooms were spotless, and the hotel's location was excellent. I'll be back!

The worst attendance reception.

A great option in Ipanema, superbly located right on the beach, near an avenue with many shops and good restaurants. Breakfast and beach service are included. The terrace and pool are quite small but offer a lovely view of Ipanema and Leblon.

Excellent hotel, helpful and friendly staff (receptionists, security guards, beach and baggage handlers). Great location. Unfortunately, it wasn't all perfect because the restaurant left something to be desired.

Room rates are pricey! $200 over per night, it depends what room you book! Lobby is tight, not enough space! Front desk was terrible service, no upgrades,charges extra, breakfast buffet was yucky, I only ate fruits, hallways are dark and scary until sensor lights turns on. Rooms are outdated! The only great thing at this hotel is the location in Ipanema!
