Hotel Vermont Ipanema

Hotel Vermont's location is truly one of its major plus points: you are on the beach within a few minutes' walk, there is a supermarket around the corner, and directly across from the hotel you will find a convenience store where you can get delicious onigiri and poké bowls. On the other side is a bakery with a delectable baked cheesecake and good coffee and tea — ideal for a snack. Furthermore, there are nice shops nearby, so you are well catered for in the area. The rooms are clean and well-furnished for a comfortable night's sleep. The shower was pleasantly large. It is a somewhat older hotel, which you can tell (in terms of noise), but that matters little: everything you need is present and it is well-maintained. The staff was friendly and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was extensive, including options for vegetarians. A nice extra touch: guests can borrow a towel and parasol for the beach for free — a small gesture that makes the stay just a little more complete. All in all, a nice hotel with a prime location. Definitely recommended.

I greatly appreciate the quick resolution of my problem. I felt very well taken care of, even though the air conditioning was noisy at first and prevented me from sleeping well. What I really want to highlight is that they immediately replaced it with a new, quiet one as soon as I complained. That efficiency and willingness to help guests made me feel valued and comfortable for the rest of my stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in resolving my issue.

We had a great experience at the Hotel Vermont. We went to the Shakira concert in Copacabana and it was the best choice! The hotel is very well located, close to Ipanema beach, the metro station, and an easy walk to Copacabana. Furthermore, the breakfast has everything you need and is of good quality (including gluten-free options), the staff are very kind and helpful (they even helped us with a taxi from the airport), the shower is gas-powered, and the hotel provides towels and a beach umbrella, making the experience more comfortable. The room was a little smaller than we expected, but for an overnight stay it served its purpose as a good base in Rio and offered excellent value for money in the more expensive area of ​​Ipanema. I recommend it and we will return next time! We thank the entire Hotel Vermont team for their hospitality and professionalism.

The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of fruits and plenty of protein. The concierge who checked us in that evening was quite unfriendly, to be honest (he was huffing and puffing and not very helpful, maybe he was just having a bad day). They provide towels and umbrellas for the beach free of charge, which is fantastic. The rooms were nice, and the shower was especially powerful and good.
