About this place El Mozo

El Mozo is one of Chapinero's most enduring gay bars — a long-running neighbourhood institution that has been part of the district's gay social fabric for over twenty years. Where Theatron offers spectacle and scale, El Mozo offers the other thing a great gay neighbourhood needs: a comfortable, unpretentious bar where regulars know each other, the drinks are affordable, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough for conversation. The clientele is predominantly local Colombian — Bogotano gay men of various ages who have been coming for years — with an increasing presence of international visitors who have learned to seek out bars like this rather than tourist traps. The bar occupies a characteristic Bogotá commercial space in Chapinero, modest in scale but well-situated on one of the neighbourhood's key streets. The music is Latin pop and reggaeton at conversational volume on weekday evenings, louder on weekends when the bar fills. El Mozo represents the residential, community-oriented side of Chapinero's gay life that exists alongside the megaclub spectacle of Theatron — the bar you go to before or after, or when you want a quieter evening with a beer and good company. For visitors wanting to experience the authentic texture of one of Latin America's great gay neighbourhoods, spending time at El Mozo is as important as visiting Theatron.

Highly recommended. This place is huge and way better than Theatron in my opinion. I loved it.

"Dear Owners/Managers of EL MOZO, I am writing to express my complaint and request a refund of the entrance fee I paid on September 15, 2025, for 120,000. The reason for my complaint is that it was not clearly indicated that your establishment was a gay venue, which made me feel uncomfortable and confused. Due to this lack of indication, I would like to request a refund of the entrance fee I paid, as I was only there for 5 minutes. I hope you can understand my situation and take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening again in the future. Thank you for your attention to this complaint, and I look forward to your prompt response. Entry Details: - Date: September 15, 2025 - Amount: 120,000 - Ticket Number: 2 That was a terrible experience."

It's a boring site, all the music has the same video, the screen doesn't work on the Circuit video, I don't recommend it at all.
