Bogotá Pride — Marcha LGBT+ 2026
About This Event

Bogotá’s Pride March — Marcha del Orgullo LGBT+ — is huge. It’s one of the biggest LGBTQ+ gatherings anywhere, easily the largest in Latin America. Every July, up to two million people pack La Séptima (Carrera 7), the city’s main ceremonial avenue.

That number tells you two things: how many queer people live in Bogotá, and how important this event is. LGBTQ+ rights are a big part of the city’s progressive politics.

Floats, community groups, political activists — they all march the length of La Séptima, right through the city centre. It's a party, yes, but it’s also serious. Colombia’s still fighting for full LGBTQ+ equality, so this isn't just a corporate festival.

Chapinero, Bogotá’s gay neighbourhood, is where you’ll find the social action. Theatron, El Mozo, Confessión, and other spots in the area put on special Pride events for the week before and after the march.

If you're an international LGBTQ+ traveller, Bogotá Pride in July is something else. Two million people on one avenue, high in the Andes, celebrating rights they fought for and still have to defend. It’s an intense experience.
