Bogotá has plenty of hotels. The ones LGBTQ+ travelers will care about most are in Chapinero, Zona Rosa (that’s the upscale business area), and the Parque 93 zone.
Hotels in these spots are always fine with same-sex couples. They’re also well-located for the gay scene, and for the city's better restaurants and bars.
Where to stay
Chapinero puts you closest to the LGBTQ+ scene. Hotels and guesthouses there run from budget to mid-range. You can get around easily by TransMilenio or Uber.
Zona Rosa and Parque 93 are your upscale choices. Think international business hotels, better-than-average restaurants, and a generally polished feel. They’re a bit further from Chapinero’s gay venues, but you get a higher baseline of security and service. Uber makes the distance a non-issue.
La Candelaria, the historic center, is cheap and atmospheric. But you’ll need to be more aware of your surroundings, and it’s further from the gay scene. This is for travelers who prioritize colonial architecture and museums over nightlife.

- Casa Legado — This Bogota hotel is in Quinta Camacho, a premium neighborhood with good restaurants, cafes, galleries, and shops. Casa Legado has a mid-20th century style, 13 rooms (all different), and 9 living areas.
- Casa Quinta Hotel — A small, clean hotel with friendly staff (who don't speak English, but are very helpful). They offer fresh coffee all day, a good breakfast, and free WiFi. Open all year. - Hotel Boutique San Sebastian — The Hotel San Sebastian is Bogotá’s only 100% gay hotel. It's cozy and intimate, with a Pop Art design influenced by artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Open all year. Rooms from US$ 90. Breakfast from 6.30-10.30h. 8 rooms. Mixed gay and lesbian crowd. Bar with full range of alcoholic beverages. Guestrooms have TVs. - Hotel Casona del Patio — Hotel Casona del Patio is comfortable and well-located for local attractions. The bed & breakfast has 24 rooms and was recently refurbished. Staff are available 24 hours to book tours and tickets. Rooms have wireless internet access. Some rooms are designed for families. There’s a restaurant on-site.
- Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia — Stylish and luxurious, Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia is in Bogota and has a sauna. It's well-positioned for popular attractions. - W Bogota — W Bogota is a luxury hotel with attentive service and a modern take on the El Dorado legend. It’s in a lively area with many options.
Practical notes
Bogotá is very affordable. Mid-range hotels with breakfast cost a fraction of what you’d pay in Europe. Even upscale hotels in Zona Rosa and Parque 93 are reasonable in EUR or USD. Book ahead for June, when Pride brings more visitors.
