Kuir Bogotá - Festival Internacional de Arte y Cine Queer
About This Event
Kuir Bogotá is a free festival of queer art and film that has run in Bogotá since 2015. It mixes Colombian and international films with exhibitions, workshops, talks and performance, and gets support from the city's arts institute, IDARTES. Earlier editions screened at the Cinemateca de Bogotá.
The 2025 edition, 15 to 22 November, put the ballroom scene at the centre. It was curated by artist Olga Robayo and visual artist Manu Mojito, who also put together an exhibition called Archivo Ballroom Bogotá. The main base was the El Parche artist residency on Carrera 9 in the centre, with events at the Biblioteca Nacional and a closing gala at the Terraza Pasteur shopping centre on Carrera 7.
Practical: entry is free. The 2025 venues were all in the city centre around Calle 24, a short ride south of the Chapinero bars.
The festival usually runs in November. The 2026 dates and programme hadn't been announced when we checked.
