About This Event
Festival por la Igualdad is Bogotá city hall's own Pride season, run by the Secretaría Distrital de Planeación's office for sexual diversity under the slogan En Bogotá Se Puede Ser. The city called the 2026 edition its fifteenth.
It isn't a single event. For about five weeks around Pride the city runs more than 30 activities: concerts, theatre, talks, film screenings, entrepreneur fairs, and three citizen-called marches. In 2026 those were the Marcha del Sur on 14 June, the main Marcha Distrital on 28 June and the Yo Marcho Trans march on 4 July. The programme also included the Ciclo Rosa queer film season at the Cinemateca de Bogotá, shows at the Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán and the Teatro Mayor, and the relaunch of the Distrito Diverso area around Parque de los Hippies in Chapinero.
Practical: the full schedule is posted on enbogotasepuedeser.gov.co, and the big Marcha Distrital on the last Sunday of June draws the biggest crowd.
The 2026 edition ran 13 June to 17 July. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
