**It’s possible the room I stayed in is different from the AirBNB room people are telling horror stories, but the building address is the same. Your mileage may vary… I booked this place through Booking.com and had no interaction with AirBNB at all.** Check In: 5/24/26 Check Out: 5/26/26 Cost: S/508 or $150 Room 1308 Booked through Booking.com **I did NOT even attempt to go to the rooftop pool, so I can’t comment.** I started panicking when I read some reviews on Google, also mentioning Booking.com, the morning I was supposed to stay here. I almost even canceled the booking with no refund, but I took a gamble. Location personnel was very communicative on Whatsapp. Answered basic questions pretty quickly. Person at 24/7 front desk was very polite on “check-in”. It feels like an apartment building but I have never traveled outside of the US so I could just be ignorant. Idk if this is a hotel, there’s no cleaning services during your stay that I witnessed. Very bare bones, but pleasant. Room looked exactly like the pictures showing the one large bed across from a TV, a couch, a kitchenette, fridge, shower, hot water, no AC, balcony. There’s even (seemingly) a 3 stage water filtration spout in the kitchen sink, maybe reverse osmosis, but I still stuck to bottled water for everything. Very tight schedule and I’m not risking an afternoon stuck on the toilet. Rug had a few stains. Tape on some surfaces to hide blemishes and borders, but very “you get what you pay for” and less “I feel like I’m in danger/utter disgust”. Otherwise, it was very modern and hip styled and relatively clean. On the 13th floor was an ocean view, a bit obstructed by some buildings and it was cloudy, but a vast ocean view off in the near distance that was unexpected and pretty awesome. Visible right from the bed. Incredible location for exploring Barranco for a couple days. Convenience store right outside on street level. Tons of popular restaurants and sites within walking distance (5min - 30min walk). I would definitely stay here again but make sure to look for it on Booking.com - this is NOT an ad, I just stayed in the room in these pictures at this address, and want to reassure wary travelers that it might not be the hellhole others described. Will update if anything changes! Check out tomorrow. Safe travels ✌️
