I stayed from June 3rd to 7th, 2026. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. After so much searching and choosing, I foolishly ended up at the Hotel Britania. I had already read some not-so-good reviews, but I thought that given how long they'd been there, things might be better. The hotel had a good location. The breakfast was very good and varied. The room was okay. However, the air conditioning was one of the OLD ones and made a terrible noise. The person who cleaned the rooms next to the one my family and I were staying in made too much noise, and from 6:30 am onwards, you could hear loud noises that woke you up. This is understandable since everything is enclosed, and any noise echoes in the rooms. And the hotel receptionists... They were awful. I never heard a "good morning" or any polite words from them. Their faces showed they were simply doing their job as best they could. I'd fire them all if I could. They are the face of the hotel, and the pleasantness of your stay depends on them, thanks to their kind gestures, guidance, and friendly words. In short, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel, as it has many issues they need to resolve to offer quality service. I stayed in room 233. I can't forget that we arrived in the early hours of the morning, asked for water, and were offered hot water. Not even a glass with ice to refresh it. Besides, they told us that our reservation included a bottle of wine, which was never delivered. Most likely, someone else enjoyed it in our name. So... cheers.

Very disappointing experience at this hotel. - checked in at midnight. Only AFTER I completed the payment with my credit card, the receptionist told me the elevator was broken. I had to climb 7 floors using stairs. - then came the real problem: completely false advertising of the rooms, and outdated amenities. I booked the executive suite. It doesn’t look like the website pictures. It looks like my pictures. Old couches. Queen (not king) bed. Old towels. No bath robs. The iron they gave me was burned and stained my white shirt. The windows are not sound proof and you can hear all the street noise, even on the 7th floor. The next day I was a fed up and asked to talk to the hotel manager. I was told she was not there. That was a lie. She was literally in the room behind the reception area. We exchanged a couple of emails, and they agreed to refund me my stay. That’s the only reason I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1.
