Horrible stay! The laundry machine here is disgustingly dirty. Every garment I washed was stuck with chewing gum, ruining all my clothes. I spoke to the manager right away, but he was unprofessional and unhelpful, simply cold-shouldering my complaint. The hotel obviously never cleans or maintains its equipment on a regular basis. To be frank, they’d better not offer this so-called free laundry service at all. I’m forced to take all my clothes to the dry cleaner to clean up the mess. From the living environment to staff service, everything here is below standard. I will never come back and advise others to avoid this place.

Good hotel room, well located! Easy access to the city center by bus!

This is a terrible and run-down hotel. The issues are almost too many to list: the lobby is dark and oppressive, the room’s bathroom is run-down and worn (see photo), and to make matters worse, the water has a strong taste of chlorine and is basically undrinkable. I asked the front desk if they had any bottled water and of course they didn’t… it just goes on and on. I can’t wait to get out of here! I’d have switched to another hotel by now but the entire city’s hotel prices are through the roof owing to some big events going on this week and I can’t afford to move. Did I add that the gym is also a shambles, water cooler broken and all of the exercise machines have seen better days? Not even a mat to be found for stretching on the floor. Portable AC unit and duct-taped window patch job add to the lovely aesthetic! Location is awful, in the middle of a busy intersection in an industrial area of the city, right beside a pawn shop.

Amenida Residences is a discount hotel run out of the northwest portion of a massive old Holiday Inn at the corner of McLeod Trail and 43 Ave. The lobby is not near the elevator bank, so guests are asked to carry their bags up a short flight of stairs to the hallway in use. Check in and check out went smoothly. The room was clean an adequate, with a comfortable bed.Air conditioning was a portable unit, clumsily installed. There was a notable rust spot on the tub. The room was about half the price of a Holiday Inn. Lots of parking and a pool. if you ask at the desk, they'll get you a bag of ice. No breakfast, restaurant or other amenities.

It needs renovations, thats the main thing. The staff were all lovely 10/10 But the room was rough, the carpets need to be ripped out The tub needs new finish or to be replaced The couch had a sheet over it to "hide" all the wear and tears, id be rather embarrassed to have that in the hotel honestly. The locations not bad, bunch of food and brewery options The pool was clean and was heated But the restaurant has been closed 5+ years, they say everything's under renovation but I dont see anything "replaced" even when walking by other rooms.

The staff is lovely, however there are a number of frustrating issues & not necessarily as advertised. They use portable air conditioners in a lot of rooms instead of central air, which means your window is essentially always open…a lot of traffic noise including big trains. Very important to note this hotel is definitely not for anyone with mobility issues or seniors!! No elevator goes to the lobby or pool. You may or may not have a fridge, microwave or tv in your room, (we had to throw out planned meals), and there is no access to ice—-you have to get the front desk to get some. The rooms were pretty run down and things like the shower fan didn’t work. Too many corners being cut!!

If I can give zero star I would , we were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The room had no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable, especially during warmer weather. There was also no phone in the room to contact the front desk if assistance was needed. The cleanliness was unacceptable. I found hair in the bed, the sheets were stained, and the bathtub was peeling and in poor condition. Although the staff provided two fans after we complained, this did not make up for the lack of proper air conditioning. The booking was also misleading. The property was advertised as a Holiday Inn, which was not the hotel we actually stayed in. In addition, the receipt showed a Singapore address for some reason, which was confusing. The charge was processed in U.S. dollars, and this was not clearly disclosed at the time of booking, resulting in unexpected currency conversion costs. Overall, the hotel did not meet the expectations set by its advertisement. Between the poor room conditions, cleanliness issues, and confusing billing practices, we would not recommend staying here.
