So we didn't get the room that we had booked, and their only other offering was to downgrade us further. We had to fight to get *something* and it was... 10$ per night refunded. That's pitiful. Everything is, how do I put it, kinda sketchy too. Breakfasts are complimentary, but they have around 8 choices and some sides are just changed sometimes without telling you. The wi-fi is slooow (like "Youtube is only smooth at 480p" slow). We told them we could hear a smoke detector beeping from low battery on day two, and as we left on day six it was still beeping. At least it's easy to get to the ferry by bus from there. All in all, nothing terrible, but an accumulation of not-so-great things that add up to "never going back there again".

My mother and I originally booked to stay at this hotel for May 27,28 and June 5. However when we arrived we found the status of the rooms was unacceptable and the photos we were showed were not at all what the reality was. Originally our first room was 114 and it was incredibly uncleanly; there were bleach stains on the bed skirts, there were obvious dirt marks on the pillows and the sheets, the bed skirt was ripped, the floor was obviously dirty and the AC did not work. We informed house cleaning and the front desk and were told "that room was not to be assigned" and yet we were in it. We were moved to another room, 214 and was told the state of our previous room was a one off and yet our new room was in similar standing. There was water damage, towels in the hallway for an apparent leak, the chair was very dirty and ripped, the heat/AC unit was covered in dirt and dust on the inside and the air was so musty it was hard to breathe. Although friendly and kind, the front desk staff was unhelpful and the cleaning lady was quite abrasive. We were able to get a partial refund through expedia for our second night and our third night we booked with avion rewards which we are not getting back. We opted to leave before we even stayed for an hour and lost our money for May 27 as it was too late but we could not stay there. I messaged the property in hopes of some accountability but have heard nothing back from them.

Upon entering my room, I discovered a set of keys on a shelf from the last guest. When I returned to the room I started having a look around. The first cupboard I opened had two empty liquor bottles and an empty sandwich container. This is the first five minutes of my stay. The front desk was overly complacent which wasn't a surprise seeing how cleaning staff operated. I forgot something small behind and called to ask if they could put it on an envelope and mall it since I wasn't from the area. I was told they could put it in a box for me to pick up.
